We’ve been reporting that Donald Trump is no fan of USAID, the US Agency for International Development, and he's determined to reform or eliminate the agency. Bureaucrats within the independent agency have not been taking it well and have been throwing temper tantrums and trying to “resist,” thinking somehow that the electorate voted them into office and not the president.
On Saturday night, Trump decided it was a good time to mete out some more consequences for the uncooperative rebels:
Two top security officials at the US Agency for International Development were put on administrative leave Saturday night after refusing to allow officials from Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency to access systems at the agency, even after DOGE personnel threatened to call law enforcement, multiple sources familiar told CNN.
Personnel from the Musk-created office physically tried to access the USAID headquarters in Washington, DC, and were stopped.
The DOGE personnel demanded to be let in and threatened to call US Marshals to be allowed access, two of the sources said.
DOGE head Elon Musk let it be known what he thought in no uncertain terms:
RedState’s Ward Clark explained in a recent article why USAID is so problematic and should be transformed or eliminated entirely:
Not only is USAID paying for stupidity like sending condoms to the Taliban, along with all manner of money poured out overseas, but their 2025 budget request is asking for $42.8 billion. That's a "B" followed by an "illion." That's a lot of American taxpayers' dollars to let USAID play Santa Claus to the world. In case anyone hasn't noticed, we can't afford it. We're broke. Our national debt situation is untenable, we may well be past the point of no return, and we can't keep paying for things like condoms for terrorists anymore.
More Musk:
Trump is refusing to stand quietly by and let these functionaries defy him, a position this latest move only reaffirms:
Three of the sources said the DOGE personnel wanted to gain access to security systems and personnel files. Two of those sources said also they wanted access to classified information.
USAID Director of Security John Voorhees and his deputy are the latest officials who have been put on leave amid fears that the agency is being intentionally dismantled by the Trump administration. Rumors are swirling that President Donald Trump intends to sign an executive order to fold USAID into the US State Department – a move that Democratic lawmakers say is illegal.
More and more people, from underlings at the General Services Administration to DEI zealots at the Pentagon, are finding out that if you mess around and work from within against this administration, there will be a “find out” response soon forthcoming.
I’ve been telling the guys here at work that if they ever need to lose weight quickly, go to that site. It’ll induce vomiting on a massive scale.
Got to shovel more money first ,LOL
STARVE them out…
100% elimination indicated
I don’t understand how Musk & Co. have any constitutional authority.
I want USAIDs completely defunded and eliminated.
But a bunch of civilian non-government workers don’t get to do it.
Trump should walk up to the door with a SWAT Team and take it. It’s his Administration.
Every USAID official involved should be fired. Check the phone records to see who they called for direction and fire them also.
This is what is called ‘SEDITION’, boys and girls........
I went to their website- it’s been shut down.
Sounds like the has nothing but democrats ,LOL
I’m curious about what exactly happened on the ground. Were U.S. Marshals called in? Were the security officials physically replaced, and if so, by whom? What agency or security detail took over their duties?
If it is classified, they are charged with making sure it is not accessed by people without a security clearance. But you can do that with a minimum of pearl clutching.
Just keep the doors locked, cut off the power, water and sewer.
Then, let NO ONE out....EVER....for years.
Desperately scrubbing history and records, no doubt.
I support the idea of firing “too many” people over a situation like this. Send a message. If someone doesn’t play ball, everybody is going to suffer. Incentivize people to be whistleblowers. If you know something about somebody in the government, make a report — or else risk being caught up in the housecleaning.
Trump is the executive. As one man he is a coequal branch of government and the bureaucracy is his instrument. If that instrument does not work it is to be eliminated and replaced. If you read the constitution it doesn't say anything about the federal bureaucracy or civil servant protections
Musk’s team is acting on the authority of the President Of The United States to audit these agencies; they have EVERY RIGHT to go in there or ANY place the President wants them to.
That’s the experience talking. He knows all their tricks, every play before it’s sent in.
I love that!
DOGE needs a static page with the Trump FAFO pic to put up when they pull the plug on worthless wastes of taxpayer money like this.
Hopefully more to follow. Soon.
Unreal for these maniacs to refuse Trump’s people entry into the building. DC is way more filthy than anyone realized.
We are finally getting the cleansing sunshine and the purge DC needed.
From the woke lesbo helo pilot, guided by a DEI controller, hired from homo DOT Buttgig killing 67 people, to agencies in open rebellion, to the Treasure department refusing to let DOGE in, to Repub resistance to Trump’s appointees, the rot is deep.
Pray for Trump’s safety. Hope he can get a lot done before DC effectively organizes against him.
I hope Trump can get it done, but he is rocking the boat like no other and going for broke. The tariffs, the deportations, the FBI and DOJ firings, killing USAID (the CIA playground) declaring war on the cartels, etc.
He is making a hell of a lot of enemies.
Do all you can to assist the effort locally, and never forget, he might just be cutting us some breathing room before the blob returns more angry than ever.
Use this time to prep and to position your life for hard times.
