Around half of the world’s adult population holds deeply entrenched antisemitic attitudes, double the number from a decade ago, a new survey by US campaign group the Anti-Defamation League has found.

“Antisemitism is nothing short of a global emergency,” ADL Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Greenblatt said in a statement.
“It’s clear that we need new government interventions, more education, additional safeguards on social media, and new security protocols to prevent antisemitic hate crimes,” he added.
Greenblatt suggested the situation had worsened after 7 October, 2023 – the date of a Hamas massacre in southern Israel that killed around 1,200 people and saw 250 others taken hostage.
The resulting conflict has claimed tens of thousands of Palestinian lives, and led the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas commanders for war crimes.
49% of those in eastern Europe harbour antisemitic attitudes, with Russia the worst culprit, the ADL found. At 17%, western Europe is a lesser concern – though that average figure conceals some troubling individual findings.
82% of people in Greece believe Jews have too much power in the business world, while one quarter of Romanians say Jews are responsible for most of the world’s wars.
Belgium is also identified as an antisemitism hotspot, with 40% of the population saying Jews have “too much control” over the media and global affairs, and 61% saying Jews are only loyal to Israel.
It kind of tracks with the number of immigrants from Islam countries.

Marx believed that anti-Semitism was caused by a separate Jewish identity, which included a love of money.
But in a Communist society, after property rights and religion had both whithered away, "Jewishness" would cease to exist. Jews would assimilate into the raceless, classless, undifferentiated Communist masses.
Once people no longer saw themselves as Jews (or Hindus, Muslims, Christians, property owners, etc.), but only as the undiffereniated Working Class, then anti-Semitism (and racism, class warfare, all wars) would cease to exist.

In all fairness, as a matter of fact, Jews do control lots more media than their numbers on the planet might otherwise suggest.
Jews are successful. People are jealous. That explains a huge proportion of anti-semitism.
What would the ADL do if Antisemitism didn’t exist ? Go out of business ?
I should like to point out, that the ‘anti-Semitic’ sweeper is unreliable.
Not all Jews are Semites, and
Semites are not necessarily Jews.
There has been so much ying-and-yang, to-and-fro, of people, culture, societies, “reigning powers,” and more . . . mingle mingle mingle . . . that the indictment, ‘anti-Semite,’ is worn out, IMHO.
It was exactly a decade ago when the evil Marxist Angela Merkel imported 5 million Muslims to Germany alone, likely accounting for this entire increase.

I don't think it's entirely, or even mostly, jealousy. It's also that people believe that Jews use their power and money in ways that are harmful to the majority population.
For instance, political and media advocacy for the secularization of Christmas and society as a whole, open borders, diversity, shaming whites for racism and colonialism, etc.
While white liberals have also advocated for that, Jews have been disproportionately behind such endeavors.
And Jews are also resented for their perceived hypocrisy. While they advocate for racially and religiously diverse societies in the West, many of these same Jewish groups are fiercely pro-Israel and keeping it a Jewish state.
I worked in the media in the 1980s-2000s. Full of successful Jews. Most of them very liberal, but very pro-Israel.
So it's how Jews use their money and power, that people resent, and not merely that Jews are successful.
You completely misread Marx. Marx was an antisemite, whose solution to the Jewish Question is the cultural genocide of Jews. Czar Nicholas II likewise believed in the cultural genocide of Jews. The only difference is what new faith Jews would have to convert to in order to end assaults on them. In practice, Jewish converts to Christianity and communists of Jewish descent still faced antisemitism.

BTW, Jews often mistake me for being Jewish. I apparently have what they consider a Jewish look. Several times in the past, while working with Jews, one of them would make a remark that indicated they thought I was Jewish. One co-worker invited me to her synagogue. Another asked how my parents had survived the Holocaust.
Such instances made me think, was I hired partially because they thought I was "a nice Jewish boy"?
And having been in work situations where I was surrounded by Jews, then to discover they thought I was Jewish, made me realize that Jews do discriminate in favor of their own. (Yet hypocritically complain of anti-Semitism if gentiles discriminate in favor of gentiles).
It also made me privy to private remarks that Jews make about Christians and gentiles, when they think they are among themselves.
Marx believed in the "cultural genocide" of all religions and ethnic identities, which he considered "false consciousness," and which kept workers from realizing their true "class consciousness."
