Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned allies that the defense of his nation is a litmus test for broader Western resolve, after Russia fired at least 117 missiles and drones in an overnight attack on the country's energy infrastructure facilities.
Zelenskyy and his top officials have repeatedly demanded that NATO allies do more to bolster Ukraine's air defense umbrella, with the country struggling through a third consecutive winter of massed Russian attacks on the national energy grid.
The latest Russian barrage came after a record-breaking night of Ukrainian drone attacks in Western Russia, in which Kyiv's forces said they hit a chemical plant in Tula region, ammunition warehouses at the Engels airfield in Saratov region, an oil refinery in Saratov and a chemical plant in Bryansk.
Russia's Defense Ministry said it intercepted six U.S.-made ATACMS missiles, eight British-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles, one U.S.-made HIMARS missile and 180 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles, 146 of which were intercepted outside of occupied Ukraine and the front lines.

Russia's military on Tuesday said it would retaliate against Ukraine after Kyiv attacked Russian regions by firing six US-made ATACMS ballistic missiles, six UK-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles and launching one of the biggest drone attacks to date.

I would suggest that money and all the stuff sent to Ukraine is an investment rather than an expense.
The investment is to destroy the threat from Mother Russia for at least 50 and possibly a hundred years.

Putrid will be not satisfied with seizing only the border areas but will take all of Ukraine and “blood debts will be paid” lake what happened in Cambodia after “peace was given a chance” and millions of Cambodians were murdered in the Killing Fields by the communists.
Russia will do in Ukraine what they did to Chechnya after Moscow signed a peace treaty to end the First Chechnya War. Regroup and rebuild and attack with overwhelming force in the Second Chechnya War and totally exterminate all who opposed them and install a Moscow puppet who is now sending indoctrinated troops to Ukraine to fight along side the Russian Invaders.
