President Joe Biden proposed underfunding Medicare Advantage during the last few weeks of his administration, which could have disastrous effects for American seniors.
Last Friday, Biden’s Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) proposed a 2.23 percent increase for the increasingly popular Medicare option.
The proposed rate increases are lower than the consumer price index’s (CPI) year-over-year trend for inflation, or 2.7 percent.

Medicare Advantage has plans with NO PREMIUMS so why is this an issue? Comparing an increase in benefits for Medicare Advantage folks with the CPI increase is comparing apples and oranges IMO...Where’s the beef? Or the apples/oranges?
The CPI numbers are TOTALLY BOGUS, just like Dr. Jill’s rule.

They are doing this so later they can claim republicans did it because so close to president Trump’s inauguration. It’s all part of the plan to lie about it later.
They already did it. The news came out right after the election. Many seniors actually had their plans closed and benefits cut.
They do this stuff right before Trump takes the reins so they can lie and blame him for it.
Our side never gets out there in front of this and makes sure the public knows who really cut their plans.

The increase is not in the premium, it is in the maximum out-of-pocket annual expense associated with whatever plan a person has. This can range from close to ten thousand dollars to as little as three thousand dollars.
How about cutting off illegal aliens instead of citizens who’ve paid into this government for their entire working lives?
Democrat creeps are crapping in the faces of American citizens on every level.

The medicare advantage plan I had last year informed me there would be changes for this year. One of the changes was where I would receive my primary care. I would be moved from a standard medical office run by a hospital association to a clinic inside the grocery store.
Needless to say, I searched for a different plan.
I’m not a fan of MA...too many hoops to jump through to get procedures covered.
but a CMS proposed 2.23% increase for MA is considered a cut ? a careful read is, it’s not 2.70% so a .47% difference makes it a cut ?

Medicare Advantage is going to collapse at some point anyway
I'm back to work full time as of Nov 25, 2024. Just in time to learn my contract coverage expires Feb 7, 2025. Looking for the next contract inside the company. If the search fails, I can opt to go down the retirement path. Not anxious to hang up the spurs, but my prognosis for survival of ampullary cancer after a Whipple procedure ranges from 32% to 67% for 5 year survival. Median is 36 months. If I survive to expectations, there is no way I outlive my accrued retirement reserves.
The primary goal of the left is to close down Medicare Advantage and eliminate the people having a choice with private providers versus the government. Reason why Democrats have been constantly reducing the budget. Private industry is bad, government is good to the Communists.
