On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “All In,” Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) defended his vote against the Laken Riley Act by stating that “people are going to be targeted because they’re brown.”

He purposefully sought out (1) a negative vote and (2) Swalwell to highlight how the bill (that PASSED) damaged some protected/preferred group (violent illegal immigrants).
No part of the story was utilized to speak to the actual GOOD such a bill will do.
