California Governor Gavin Newsom used an emergency press conference Tuesday to thank Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass for her leadership “in absentia” during the wildfire crisis now enveloping the state after she phoned it in from Ghana, Africa.
“Thank you again to all of the folks behind me in the outstanding leadership of all the elected officials as well. And forgive me one point I’d be remiss — thank you to Mayor Bass who was on the phone immediately this morning… uh… making sure even in absentia that she’s here… uh… organizing everything she can to make sure we’re successful as well,” he said.
As Breitbart News reported, Bass spent Tuesday in Africa as part of a taxpayer-funded delegation attending the inauguration of John Dramani Mahama as Ghana’s president.
The Democrat was there as her city battled wildfires and tens of thousands of residents fled for their lives.

2. For Known conservatives like James Wood, does FEMA bypass his property?
3. Will government uses every program for this destruction to prevent rebuilding, or just ask property owners to wait for new development requirements which may effectively prevent rebuilding?
4. Will FEMA provide the type of housing, cars, clothing and foods these Rich Libs are used too?
5. Will FEMA pay for assistants, these Rich Libs cannot fend for themselves……

She gave the fire department tips on how to avoid traffic by using her secret side street route.

She better get back before Trump is inaugurated.
Because if she is still in Ghana, Trump might be able to put her on a no-fly list.
That would be best for her city, her state, and her country.
I detest these congratulatory pressers where useless politicians praise other useless bureaucrats. The message always is see how great big government is after a disaster that they likely caused.
