CEO Murder: Stunning Poll Shows Shift In Views Among Young Americans
Daily Voice ^ | 12/17/2024 | Joe Lombardi

A new national poll from Emerson College reveals a startling trend among young American voters: More respondents aged 18 to 29 believe the targeted assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was acceptable than those who do not.

The poll highlights a sharp generational divergence on the issue.

A total of 41 percent of voters aged 18-29 find the killer’s actions acceptable, 24 percent somewhat acceptable and 17 percent completely acceptable), while 40 percent find them unacceptable.

Noting that 68 percent of voters overall reject the killer’s action, Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, said the results show shifting societal attitudes among the youngest electorate.

In contrast, a strong majority of Americans over 30 condemned the execution-style killing in Manhattan on Wednesday, Dec. 4 as unacceptable.

Maryland native Luigi Mangione, age 26, who has been charged with second-degree murder, is facing extradition to New York after being apprehended in Pennsylvania.

While the poll did not delve into motivations, it aligns with rising frustrations over corporate greed and financial barriers within the healthcare system.

The findings mark a significant moment in public opinion and signal a growing divide between age groups on topics of morality, justice, and systemic discontent.

Emerson College conducted the poll between Tuesday, Dec. 10 to Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, surveying 1,200 registered voters nationwide. The margin of error is +/- 2.8 percent.

Wow...what a horrible upbringing kids nowadays must have. Instead of being brought up by responsible parents, they are being raised by popular culture.

Many of them don’t know the difference between reality and video games. The don’t really mature until they reach 40.

Brave New World meets Clockwork Orange in Fahrenheit 451.

I see this attitude closely related to the media push that your political opponents are Nazis. They are all fascist murderers, Trump is literally Hitler. Republicans enjoy separating families while deporting anyone who seems Hispanic. Republicans want to put black people back in chains.

If someone is not on your side of the struggle, they are not really human. They deserve death.

If you are raised on this type of messaging, you might see an “evil CEO of a Health Insurance firm” as a legitimate target.

I don’t believe it...it’s a jump on the bandwagon fad.

So many young people today are amoral. So are their parents and most schools where they are indoctrinated.

Hey, were these polls conducted by the same people who told us Kamalamalamadingdong was a shoe in on Nov. 5th?

These people are the same jerks that rushed to see “Barbie” in the theaters. Mr. Leonid Brezhnev Eyebrows has captured the finger hearts of both males and female regardless of what sex they claim to be. Both genders want to have Liugi’s babies.

They should direct their anger and violence at Obama, Pelosi, and much of the HHS bureaucracy, as they have created this bloated, corrupt, cost-shifting nightmare known as "Obamacare" and American government-run health care.

Emerson had one of the least accurate presidential polls this year.

Not worth the time to read.

This is the exact brand of nihilism that prevailed 150 years ago among the young Russian bourgeoisie and was the basis for Dostoevsky’s novel “Crime and Punishment” (in which a young intellectual murders an elderly pawnbroker whom he considers unworthy of life).

Needless to say, the next stages in Russia were revolution followed by mass execution.

This sort of post-Christian nihilism never ends well.

RE: Close the public schools.

Alas, the recent shooting in Madison, Wisconsin occurred in a PRIVATE, CHRISTIAN school. 😞

If someone assassinated.. say a woman who’s name rhymed with “Ranet Jeno” would anyone shed a tear?

If “Pancy Melosi” were gunned down would we hold a candle light vigil and call out for justice?

I’m not saying it would be me who would do the deed.. but if it were done I would sleep soundly.

Young people in America have been thoroughly indoctrinated by the neo-Marxists in our educational system.

A better idea is to stop putting kids on drugs that cause homicidal and suicidal behavior. Private schools also employ the practitioners of the pseudoscientific Cult of Psychology.
