Let me begin with a phrase I never used to start a story in 45 years as a TV reporter: “I may be wrong.” This entire piece may be wrong, but those 45 years on the air and 2000+ hours as a pilot tell me I’m right. The MSM floods their newscasts with reports of drone-terrified citizens ready to head for the hills over the latest media-induced scare. The word “drones” is now synonymous with “doom.”
This is simply a media-driven scam. The MSM media is searching for something, anything, to boost ratings since their failure to ensure the election of the woman they considered God’s chosen presidential candidate. One man now claims 50 drones came from the Atlantic and chased him. He got his time on TV and didn’t even have to pay Oprah $2.5 mil. I wonder if he has also seen Sasquatch.
There are two types of media-hyped drones. The first are the small ones. They fly in groups. No, they are not some super top-secret American, Russian, Chinese, Iranian, or North Korean weapon. They are the same drones you can watch fly together on any given Sunday in hundreds of public parks. If you want to join the fun, it starts at about $49.00 on Amazon. These radio-controlled drones can fly for as long as an hour on a battery charge. They fly in any direction displaying the supposedly mysterious lights seen on television. Piloting skills come easily -- it takes about 45 minutes to become familiar with flying one.
These drones have a camera relaying the sights from the sky back to the operator on the ground. For those non-pilots who always wanted a bird’s-eye view of their neighborhood from 400 feet, drones are a cheap alternative to spending $20K to get a pilot’s license.

“Evil’s greatest weapon is distraction” - Samurai Jack
The fake press did the same thing with the China virus in 2019.
Glass lungs, hoarding ventilators - a load of crap which the media is designed to serve up in high volume.
so why can’t DOD just tell us that, instead of claiming complete ignorance about what’s happening in our skies?
I think there’s more to this than the article suggests.
Tax and regulate drones. Require licenses. That is where this has always been heading.
It's the sort of thing producers of a movie about "killer drones" would do to gin up publicity, using Elon-level technology.
This writer is an idiot.
Tape four hobby drones together with duct tape and fishing rods, then do the same with the four controller console joysticks, put a few small multicolor led flashlights on them, wait until after dark to fly them, and presto— the suv sized drone! Ready to spook out your neighbors and the local always-gullible media. Don’t even need a diagram!
Get together with your nerd flash mob and create your very own UAP squadron!
They seem to be operating autonomously and in formation.
They don't seem to have a strong IR signature so they are probably electric.
They are also operating at night so they probably are using IR, Radar/Lidar or hyper spectral imaging guidance and control so not your average drone.
This is simply a media-driven scam

He gets it. And this scare is brought to you courtesy by the federal government with cooperation from a lot of local officials who don’t know any better.
The media and the government have moved on from the UFOs are real stories from a few months ago. When even Congress was holding hearings on the UAPs and UFOs. That went absolutely nowhere so now they’re using drones in an effort to alarm the sheeple.
Their puppet-masters will do everything with their immense ill-gotten gains to suppress independent journalism, particularly those who have the intelligence/means to expose the _____ supremacists corruption to the sleeping sheeple masses.
The bigger question is...would the sheeple do ANYTHING with that knowledge...or just continue to be all talk/no action sheeple, with the continued delusional thinking that (compromised) "politicians" will do the work for them?
Inflation/other has taken it's toll, where folks are too busy trying to stay above water...to give 2 shitz to the corruption...that got us here.
All by design.
Carlin said "It's a big club, and you ain't in it"
It's actually a fairly small club cult...but you still "ain't in it".
Not necessarily. The author is completely correct about the media. They’ve gone full National Enquirer on this scam. They are now reporting drones the size of school buses.
Oh Noes. Time to panic.
That’s just what it feels like to me... I wonder if there is a remake of War of the Worlds or some other action film coming out?
It was a cop and he didn't say they chased him. Coast Guard also confirmed. They saw 13 over the water by the time they arrived.
Why would they rat themselves out for something they might be doing?
I agree with this guy.
As a teenager, I and a couple of my buddies
used to launch fake ufo’s just for the fun of it.
Most reports say Drones fly long more than 1 hour at a time
