Anyone who has voted Republican in more than one election quickly becomes familiar with feeling exasperated. GOP politicians have a history of not handling success well. I can't be precise about how long this has been the case, but this past spring marked my 40th anniversary as a Republican/conservative activist and it's been that way in all that time.
Every once in a while a Republican politician will act like he or she won an election โ Ronald Reagan, Newt Gingrich, and President-elect Donald Trump come immediately to mind โ but it doesn't happen often enough.
It is both mind-blowing and disheartening to see how the GOP behaves when it has a majority in Congress. Rather than take advantage of what they know is a temporary situation, congressional Republicans often act apologetic for having been popular with the voters. They behave as if they are unworthy of being in charge of things.
Instead of legislating, they showboat. Republicans are very good at grandstanding, holding hearings, and giving press conferences to make it seem as if they're responding to their constituents but never really doing anything. Beltway Republicans gravitate towards comfort and seem to have an almost sexual fetish for the status quo.
Yeah, that's got to stop.
All of us on this side of the aisle breathed a huge sigh of relief when Trump won the election because we knew what the stakes were for the continued functioning of the United States of America. The mere fact that he is heading back to the Oval Office has staved off the disaster for now. The existential threat from the increasingly radical and clinically insane Democratic Party still exists, however.

If NOT this will probably be our last chance at repairing and rebuilding our Republic!!!
That takes a strong leader.
They need to learn how to get their hands out of the cookie jar.
The problem is that we think “Republican” means “conservative”. They hated Reagan and liked Bush and Ford. They hate Trump and love Cheney, McConnell and Graham.
They are not being pansies. They are ruthlessly making THEIR agenda happen. That is massive spending, wars that have nothing to do with America except enriching the few, and anything to do with globalism. They support abortion and homosexual supremacy. They roll their eyes at Christians.
They don’t need to stop being pansies. WE need to face reality of what they are.
That’d be nice but lots republicRATS waiting to toss road blocks.
Pansies would be a step up. Notice the outcry from Republicans about Biden trying to spark WW3 on his way out.
no outcry? Just crickets?. Russia noticed too which won’t help any future negotiations.
BTW, which GOPers are/were the biggest offenders? (Running as John Wayne, governing more like Jane Fonda?)
I'd nominate the late John McCain and Lindsey Graham. Other contenders are Flake, Cornyn, Thune, and...?)
This will not happen unless we get rid of the RINOs.
I’m expecting the Pubbies to create a power sharing agreement with the Dems so the Dems will stay control things in the House and Senate.
Republicans last controlled the White House, Senate, House of Representatives, and had a conservative majority on the Supreme Court from January 20, 2017, to January 3, 2019.
Yet the Democrats were still in charge and they ran things.
how has it come to this
the entire population of the united states doen’t realize the us government as currently organized is designed to loot the US Treasury.
everyone gets a cut
threatening senate or congressional seats is the only lever of power to pin the POS corrupt seat holders to the mat and make them work for the people
get your heads out of your ass
“Republicans Have to Learn How to Stop Being Pansies When They Have the Majority”
I blame the voters.
If you vote for RINOs, you’ll get RINOs.
If you vote for milquetoast moderates, you’ll get milquetoast moderates.
Funny how the Democrats never have that problem.
Amen. I’ve been saying this for years. Mitch McConnell, one of my Senators, is more comfortable in the roll of following than the role of leading, and he’s not the only one.
Republican politicians are scared to death of the media.
I agree. Those things and the undermining of Trump by too many party bosses is why I finally left the party in 2021 after 35 years to simply be an independent conservative.
That too many are bought and paid for -- by the Chamber of Commerce, Defense Industry, etc. -- is the problem.
Several years ago, I finally decided Republicans were morons and cowards. So, I changed my registration to the Constitution Party. Its platform at least supports my oath to support and defend the Constitution.

Might you add big pharma for some, also big ag?
