U.S. Economy Adds 227,000 Jobs In November

Employers in the United States added 227,000 workers to their payrolls in November, the Department of Labor said Friday, and the unemployment rate edged up to 4.2 percent.

Economists had been expecting 215,000 after storms and strikes saw the Labor Department report a much-worse-than-expected growth of just 12,000 in October. They had also forecast that the unemployment rate would rise one-tenth of a point from 4.1 percent.

The October report was revised up by 24,000, bringing the estimate up to 36,000. The September jobs number was revised up by 32,000, from a gain of 223,000 to 255,000.

And for some reason, all of them were hired after November 5th.

I would like to know how many of these “jobs” are full time non-governmental. A guy I know maintains 3 part time jobs with 3 different businesses so he can make a full-time paycheck.

“how many of these “jobs” are full time non-governmental”

First thought in my head as well. If you add up all the government employees (federal+state+county+city) it is a huge percentage of workers. None of them manufacture any useful products. They get paid much better and have awesome fringe benefits. Ask me, I had just such a job for 12 years.

On top of that, a huge percentage of adults in USA do not even work in any jobs. (retired+welfare dependent)

People are excited about Trump. The doom and gloom has eased. My weekly meeting group says they are going to spend for Christmas because they feel the economy will pick up under Trump. People are happy again.

The devil, as usual, is in the deta8ls...

https://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm

“...In November, government employment continued to trend up (+33,000), in line with the average monthly gain over the prior 12 months (+41,000). Over the month, employment continued to trend up in state government (+20,000)...”

Not a shocker, is it...

ANOTHER DISPLAY OF FEDERAL/DC LIES:

CALLING the HOLIDAY SPENDING GOOD BECAUSE IT IS “UP”.

The spending is HIGHER because the same goods are more costly.

I’m still saying, my friends and I are optimistic now that Trump is going to be president. We all think the country will be in a much better place. People will spend more if they think they’ll get a bigger paycheck in the future. The promise of lower taxes, does just that. Just because Biden is trying to take credit, doesn’t make it not true.

This probably so that when real numbers come it during the beginning of the Trump administration then it will make it look like we lost jobs. As always. None of these numbers should be trusted.
