Unless something changes over the next 50-or-so days, Joe Biden will skulk out of the White House with a personal-record low job approval rating and Donald Trump will enter office with a record high.
“The first post-election … poll finds President-elect Donald Trump’s favorability rating at 54%, a six-point increase from his pre-election favorability of 48%,” pollster Emerson College reported Tuesday. Meanwhile, “Biden has a 36% job approval rating, a four-year low for the president in Emerson polls, while his disapproval rating remains steady at 52%.”

These approval ratings seem low. Even if Jesus Christ was the president he’d only be around 50% when he should be 100%. Same with Trump. Biden should be below 5%

Romney, the failed one term governor of Massachusetts was the 4th GOP governor in a row there, left with 34% approval and turned the office over to a democrat and yet somehow went straight into the image of a great statesman of the republican party.
I worry that the public has unrealistic expectations of what Trump can accomplish and how long it will take. If he is unable to walk on water the first day people will react poorly. The public has zero patience. We’ve been taught by television that every problem can be solved within one hour and that includes the commercials. Let’s suppose Trump is the best president the United States ever had. Everything he wants to do will meet huge resistance. Every dollar he wants to cut or department he wants to defund has a constituency who lives and dies off of that dollar or that department and they’ll use flame throwers, if necessary, not just for their item but to stop him from doing anything.
This is really unfair, considering that Biden died months ago. May he rest in peace.
