Inflation will keep falling next year despite fears of prices spiking under Trump, veteran economist Steve Hanke says

Top economist Steve Hanke said that it's "nonsense" to think Trump's policies will spur inflation.

Instead, inflation will depend on the Fed and the money supply, which has contracted since 2022. Inflation will fall below the Fed's 2% target in 2025, he predicted.

As Donald Trump's second term approaches, his policy proposals have triggered concern that inflation will see a resurgence in the coming years, but those fears are unwarranted, according to one economist.

Besides the DNCMedia, who is saying Trump will spike prices? Trump will lower prices! The Fed will be run by Trump, and that will in itself be anti-inflationary. Less to do with the past and Biden and more to do with what is to come--but a pro-Business president is better than the anti-Business president he's succeeding.

Every leftist drone. They all claim his tariffs (ones that have existed since his last administration) will cause all prices to go up.

when you tell them those are already in place and have been since his last administration they call you all the names.

I see a lot of people who say that tariffs will make everything cost 10 times more. Idiots.

Inflation may see a surge. Or it may not. Absolutely no one knows. Many will predict. Half will be right. That half will not have superior judgment.

Stop with the giant omnibus bills and the printing of vapor dollars. That will help.

After lifting all the bans on energy production and increasing drilling/fracking permits oil prices will drop and we will see other prices drop significantly in the first 4 months.

I’ve seen people saying there will be tariffs on our groceries now, so eggs will get even more expensive.

Those people are a special kind of stupid-do they buy their own groceries? I don’t know why anyone would import eggs or other fresh food from a foreign country, tariffs or not-other than some avocados or bananas from just over the border in Mexico. Ridiculous...

We need massive deflation to get back to prices we had in Trump’s first term.
