Today, the @OversightAdmn Chairman Barry Loudermilk (GA-11) sent a letter to Department of Defense (DoD) Inspector General (IG) Robert Storch, demanding a correction of the DoD's factually inaccurate January 6 report, as first reported by The Federalist."
"After a thorough investigation, the Subcommittee uncovered evidence substantiating that the Department of Defense intentionally delayed the deployment of the D.C. National Guard to the Capitol on January 6, 2021. In addition, the DoD IG concealed the extent and cause of the delay to protect Department of Defense and Pentagon leadership. The Subcommittee found multiple instances where the DoD IG failed to disclose evidence that contradicted the DoD IG's erroneous conclusion."
"The DoD IG’s report reflects an alarming failure to adequately evaluate the actions of senior DoD officials, including Secretary of the Army, Ryan McCarthy, who failed to communicate deployment orders to Major General William Walker, the Commander of the DCNG on January 6."
“My Subcommittee worked with the DoD IG in good faith throughout our investigation to provide multiple opportunities for the DOD IG to produce corroborating materials or evidence to support their conclusions,” said Chairman Loudermilk.
“Unfortunately, the DoD IG continues to promote an inaccurate narrative that protects senior Pentagon officials and attempts to cast fault on the D.C. National Guard, who were ready and waiting less than 2 miles from the Capitol but unable to respond on January 6 due to lack of communication from the Secretary of the Army.”
"My Subcommittee released transcripts that show that not only were political concerns of ‘optics’ at play, but that DoD officials continued to delay as the riot at the Capitol worsened. The evidence is conclusive: DoD officials misled Congress into believing that help was ‘on the way’ with full knowledge that it wasn’t.”
THE BIG QUESTION: *WHY* would the Pentagon delay sending troops to respond to the January 6 "insurrection" at the U.S. Capitol if it was putting the lives of Congressional members in danger?

More proof this was nowhere near “a riot” or “an insurrection”. The answer to THE BIG QUESTION is increasingly coming into sharp focus. Nancy Pelosi, acting in direct communication with the FBI, CIA, the DOD, and others coordinated a circus at the Capitol for the express purpose of framing Trump and Trump supporters and as a smoke screen to obfuscate the criminally stolen election.
How convenient that all the media attention was focused on “the insurrection” rather than investigating the stolen election. As we all now know, the 2024 election is missing some 10 million votes from 2020, and there is no way you can possibly claim that there was less motivation to vote in 2024 than in 2020.
Democrats stole the 2020 election and used January 6 to help cover it all up.
People need to be held accountable and go to jail.
To clarify, it seems Gen Milley insisted only Secretary of the Army, Ryan McCarthy, could approve deployment of the National Guard. And then it seems McCarthy decided to refuse to answer his phone for critical hours. Because THE BASTARDS WANTED VIOLENCE AND DISOBEYED TRUMP’S DIRECT ORDERS TO DO WHATEVER WAS NEEDED TO KEEP THE PEACE!

You know why the National Guard was deliberately withheld?
Because there were so many FBI and CIA assets on the ground that they didn’t want any of their covert assets caught in a potential National Guard crossfire.

Agreed. All this liberal handwringing over the distrust of government, media, and other institutions. You want to restore public trust? Then the truth must come out completely and people must be held fully accountable, wherever that may lead. The only way for our country to heal is to excise the massive corruption that is deep within our government.

A timeline of events that day, assembled by the inspector general’s office, also indicates separate calls were made.
The investigation’s findings bring new scrutiny to Walker, who earlier this year was lauded for his candor in publicly recounting how dysfunction at the Pentagon stalled the National Guard’s response as supporters of President Donald Trump brutalized police and panicked lawmakers pleaded for help. Speaking at a joint Senate hearing on March 3, Walker recalled having a quick reaction force (QRF) geared up and said he was frustrated by the speed at which senior defense officials were responding. He told senators it was 5:08 p.m. when he received approval to deploy.

Anyone who had anything to do with not deploying the National Guard on J6 needs to be tried convicted and jailed. Every MAGA supporter who is in the DC Gulag needs to be released.
Just think of all the MAGA patriots who entered the Capitol through already open doors, walked through the rotunda, staying between the velvet ropes and then got arrested at their homes days months or years later having their lives messed up.

House Sergeant-at-Arms William Walker, who led the D.C. National Guard during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack, said law enforcement would have responded differently if the rioters had been Black.
“I’m African American. Child of the Sixties. I think it would have been a vastly different response if those were African Americans trying to breach the Capitol,” Walker told the House Jan. 6 panel in April, according to a transcript released this week.
“As a career law enforcement officer, part-time soldier, last five years full-time, but a law enforcement officer my entire career, the law enforcement response would have been different,” Walker continued.
The House panel as part of its investigation examined why it took hours for the Pentagon to eventually send the National Guard to the Capitol as the calamity unfolded.
The committee concluded in its final report that no Pentagon officials deliberately held off on sending the Guard, but rather conflicting messages caused a delay, placing the blame on then-President Trump.
