An Italian village is offering villas for $1 to Americans who were sent into a tailspin and looking to flee the country after Donald Trump’s decisive 2024 presidential election win.
The village of Ollolai, located in central Sardinia, is offering real estate for as little as $1.06 in a pitch to woo Americans who fancy the ex-pat lifestyle in the wake of the Nov. 5 election results, according to a new statement from Commune di Ollolai.
“Are you worned [sic] out by global politics?” a website for the town wrote in a new advert.
“Looking to embrace a more balanced lifestyle while securing new opportunities? It’s time to start building your European escape in the stunning paradise of Sardinia.”
The promotion boasts of the beautiful climate, incredible food, and ancient traditions that offer a healthier and fuller life.

I wonder how long it’ll be before referring to PDJT’s victory as “a landslide” or “a mandate” will get you canceled.
Sardinia sounds great, except for the smelly, whiny expat leftards that would be migrating there.
with such an offer, they think they are going to get “Frances” from “Under the Tuscan Sun,” but they’re really gonna get “Arthur Fleck” from “Joker.”
Can Trump buy one as a vacation home or is residency required? I mean, after all, one dollar to invest isn’t much of a gamble.
Saw this earlier today. I could not pull the trigger because my money is all worned out.

Italy is beautiful, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to invite crazy people to come.
As good as this may sound on the surface...it’s going to cost you A LOT more than $1.06 to live there...a LOT more.
ROTFL! If Bidenskyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy’s “better life” seekers want a better life, why the hell aren’t they jumpin’ all over this?
I went TDY (Temporary Duty) to Italy twice in the 1970s. The water off-base was off-limits because it was unsafe to drink. Those stationed there who lived off base had a water spigot on base where they could fill containers with safe water.
Just sayin’.
Well, I'm a "dollar-a-year man," so can only afford 50 cents.
Regards,
For some reason, I thought of this from 20 years ago:
This isn’t new, been going on there for years. Every one of these areas has a few very wealthy locals who would snap these homes up and rebuild them if it made any sense. They don’t because they know better. The contracts that come with these homes are onerous. My brother and I looked into one in our family’s village where we are totally connected. Forgedaboudit! Italy isn’t America, it’s very different and much more corrupt. Lambs to the slaughter if you buy.
Right, and the homes are as decrepit as the DNC.
Yeah. If they have a few million laying around to dump into these unfinished, remote, inaccessible properties.
Dig below the headline for the shocking details, suckers
Replete with Italian-speaking cockroaches and very large rats to make them feel at home.
Actually if I were younger, I just might take up that offer.
Has nothing to do with the election results.
I’d just like to have a second home in Italy even if it is a “fixer upper”.
Definitely not!
