Attacks against priests appear to be on the rise around the globe following the latest assault in which a priest in Singapore was stabbed in the face during a Mass on Saturday Nov. 9., marking at least the third attack of its kind this month.
Father Christopher Lee – parish priest of St. Joseph church in the west-central Singapore region of Bukit Timah – was attacked by Basnayake Keith Spencer with a knife while he was distributing Holy Communion

The Father in Singapore was not the only priest to have been assaulted last Saturday, as a monastery in Spain’s Valencia region was also attacked

Three friars at the Monastery of Santo Espíritu del Monte in Gilet, Spain were injured in the attack after the unidentified man "wielding a blunt object, burst into the premises with a violent and provocative attitude," according to a statement by the Immaculate Conception of the Franciscan Order, the community to which the monastery belongs

Father Juan Antonio Llorente, 76 – one of three friars attacked in the incident – died two days later in a hospital after succumbing to his injuries on Monday.
Nov. 9 was marred by one other attack on a priest in Poland, where Father Lech Lachowicz, 72, died due to extensive brain damage following an attack one-week prior.
An axe-wielding 27-year-old – whose identity remains unclear – attacked Lachowicz on Nov. 3 in his rectory during an alleged robbery attempt in a Szczytno parish in northeastern Poland.

Basnayake is going to have a rough future ahead.
Officials in Singapore don’t mess around with this sort of thing. They use a harsh hand to keep the peace.
This isn’t the UK.
Priests need to be packing heat and parishioners coming to Mass too.
It's a holy war, and they are the only ones getting points.
Is jihad a religion based hate crime? Is Shiite vs Sunni a religion based hate crime? Is LGBTQ+++ violence against Christians a religion based hate crime? Are baby killers torching and defacing Christian pregnancy centers a religion based hate crime?
Just askin’
It’s Muslims but it’s also true you pretty much can’t read any post on Facebook or other social media without people interjecting a hatred of Christianity and mocking anyone who believes in God.
The Catholic Church at one time was highly respected but thanks to Francis and his progressives with Vatican II Presbyterian ideas have degraded the Church to a much lower level.
And those people who were yelling at our troops coming home from Vietnam were called baby killers but yet they’re all for abortion.
Not specifically Presbyterian but rather the low view of Christ which has infected many denominations since the 19 th century
Keep in mind that the Catholic church has had a habit of exporting pedo priests, or those openly communist (i.e., same thing).
What did the attacker say as to why? Might be personal.
Lacking that, yeah, religious.
The baby killing that out troops did was bad enough...but the babies weren’t targeted and it happened during a tine of war. Nowadays, the abortions occur during peacetime and each baby is specifically targeted. Very little comparison between the events...Still, any baby killed is tragic...hopefully reason and kindness toward babies will rule.
But again .... calling our troops baby killers (their chant) vs they supporting abortion.
Implying that Presbyterians aren’t Christian very untrue
The end is near.
Very true.
Typical of the anti-Catholic bigotry at FR.
And who cares? Let them squeal.
Put out the truth, and it eventually prevails over the lies.
You are watching it happen, very dramatically, in real time, in Technicolor, every day, on Fox News and almost any non-Communist news source.
