A former director of the CDC under Donald Trump says he believes COVID-19 may have been born in a North Carolina laboratory as part of a secret biodefense program.
Robert Redfield has previously been a proponent of the 'lab leak' theory which posits the disease came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.
Now Redfield - a frequent critic of Dr. Anthony Fauci - says that the disease may have origins in the Tar Heel State.
Appearing on the Third Opinion podcast, Redfield flat out stated that COVID-19 was 'intentionally engineered as a part of a biodefense program.'
He now argues that China did not necessarily create the virus and did the best that they could once 'they realized they had a problem.
However, he calls the United States' role in the development of the virus 'substantial.'

I don't know what really happened. Baric claims his research didn't pave the way.
I do remember doing a deep dive on him that came up with some really interesting stuff but I don't remember what it was. I know Australia was involved.
Maybe someone will eventually figure this out...but we on this site where looking at it from the beginning.

I didn’t need a PhD in virology to know Fauci was full of shyte.
In February 2020, he made fun of Americans who were running out to buy masks
In March, he said everyone should wear masks
By May, he even said everyone should wear two masks.
I didn’t do a deep dive on him.
I do recall doing a substantial deep dive on Fauci funding Wuhan that eventually was picked up by Ron Paul.
Also keep in mind at that time there was a lot of “sharing” with Chinese operatives that the Trump Administration was tracking down and shutting down.
What this guy is saying, honestly wouldn’t surprise me at all. The question would be ...how did it get to China?
I saw a pretty good article a few years back that made a good case of the virus being developed at Fort Detrick in Maryland. But the Gain of Function thing is reasonable also.
They always do a “limited hangout” that they can tell the people close to the situation who otherwise would smell a rat and spill the beans on the operation.
In the case of COVID, the Wuhan Institute was the “limited hangout” to cover up the fact that we intentionally created and then released the virus to do a number of things. We used it as an excuse to implement a bio-security state. We used it as an excuse to generate billions of dollars in pharma and medical revenue. We used it to transfer hundreds of billions of dollars from small businesses to multinational conglomerates. And finally, we used it to steal an election.
Any scientist worth their salt would immediately recognize that the virus was man made but would assume that the coverup had altruistic purposes. We didn’t want to start WW3 during a pandemic, we didn’t want to be racist. We didn’t want to wreck the economy even more by destroying all trade with China. etc.....
This same tactic was used when the CIA killed Kennedy and told the insiders that USSR did it and it had to be covered up or else we would go to nuclear war.
It is believed that Fauci and Daszak wanted to do gain-of-function research that was illegal in the USA, and so outsourced the work to China.

HOWEVER, when you read through it you can see they are talking about the patent saga.
In no way do they address that this type of virus was able to be replicated in a mouse. China Bat/Sars combo..At the time the article was written the mouse had not died from the virus.
As a scientist told me, a man made virus would be done in China exactly like Chapel Hill did it.

It was developed here first. The book “Is Covid-19 a Bioweapon?” by Dr. Richard M Fleming gives all the details on the studies and funding that led up to it.
I have seen that theory, too. It is possible.
There are lots of receipts it was from North Carolina and sent to Wuhan.
I guess we know who China just paid off.
I always chalked that up to the CDC believing that masks worked, but knowing there weren't enough for medical personnel and the general population so the people had to be sacrificed. Kind of like if the captain and crew of the Titanic told the passengers that life vests and lifeboats were worthless while climbing into the lifeboat.
And as for masks working or not working? I believe that masks reduce the odds of spread and everything in epidemiology is about probabilities, even effectiveness of vaccines.

Baric at UNC had been working on making genetic engineering untraceable. He called it “noseeum technology”. I read that publication.
Then Obama put a moratorium on FUNDING of gain of function research. Not just a ban on domestic GOF. No federal funds.
So the evil little gnome farmed the research out to Wuhan through the EcoHealth Alliance, against the ban.
But like any sort of lock someone can always get around it. There was evidence the virus was genetically manipulated despite the noseeum technology.
I cannot remember who first determined this, maybe it was a group in Scandinavia or something, it’s been too many years ago I read the paper.
