Russia is temporarily limiting exports of enriched uranium to the US, creating potential supply risks to utilities operating American reactors that generate almost a fifth of the nation’s electricity.
The Russian government didn’t provide details of the restrictions or their duration in a Friday statement on Telegram. Utilities tend to make purchases well in advance, so any impact is unlikely to be immediate.
As Russia’s prolonged war in Ukraine has made it increasingly unpopular on the world stage, the nation has repeatedly signaled a willingness to use its vast energy resources as geopolitical bargaining chips. Russia also told Austria on Friday it’s throttling gas supplies, interrupting a six-decade supply agreement currently covering 80% of demand because of a legal dispute.

The 2010 deal allowed Rosatom, the Russian nuclear energy agency, to acquire a controlling stake in Uranium One, a Canadian-based company with mining stakes in the Western United States.

They kinda weasel around to a “false” determination. Like it was only 10%, and it wasn’t sent to Russia, and Hillary was one of nine making the decision, and only Obama could have nixed the sale.
In 2022, United States exported $1.63B to Russia. The main products exported from United States to Russia were Vaccines, blood, antisera, toxins and cultures ($195M), Medical Instruments ($90.9M), and Gas Turbines ($70.6M).

I thought Hillary sold them a third of our uranium back in the day. Sold it to Rosatom I think.
Why?
Because it’s cheaper to import than dig it up domestically. The price of uranium crashed massively in the 1970s and never really recovered.
There are plenty of known reserves in the USA. In fact, we have the fourth largest proven reserves in the world, more than enough to meet our needs and even export, if the price is right.

Nuclear power relies on resources from other countries that we do not have. Coal and Gas do not.
The details are: In fact, Russia was NOT interested in US Uranium producers. They are far smarter and more strategic than that. What they really wanted were the early JV ventures that Uranium One had in Kazakhstan, which is now the world's largest Uranium producing Nation. The Russians sold off Uranium One's USA assets as soon as possible, but as we can see now, they have a stranglehold on the Kazakh supply, which nearly all goes to Russia and China.
Uranium One needed Obama Admin and Senate Foreign Relations approval for the sale, and Senator Hillary Clinton made sure the Clintons cashed in. Uranium One owner Frank Guistra made a $100 million "donation" to the Clinton Foundation, after only having met Bill Clinton for a total of 15 minutes, and then a quick trip to Kazakhstan on Guistra's corporate jet....
So... our government colluded with pharmaceutical korporations to drop bio-weapons on them just like they did on U.S. citizens.
This seems odd. Why are we buying Uranium from Literal Hitler II? Oh, right, because the left’s outrage is all theater.

Fortunately for us and our northern neighbors, the highest grade U deposits in the world are found in the Athabasca Basin of Saskatchewan in Canada, often referred to as the ‘Saudi Arabia of Uranium’.
