Hi Kathy, we've had a few below freezing mornings but still fairly decent day time temps.
We're getting rain which the farmers here appreciate. They're still harvesting apples and grapes.

Howdy, Kathy.
You survived to Hump Day! Bet you don’t stay up very late tonight.
No, Champ isn’t finished for the season just yet. I got the grass along the driveway yesterday and need to mow the yard at this house one more time. I’ll do that this weekend. No way today. It was a little drizzly this afternoon and VERY windy. Still waiting for the good rain and listening to the wind bang the window while watching Barry’s afternoon livestream.
Your weather was crazy today. Sunny this morning with a huge fog bank along the west and north horizon. Later, the airports were socked in fog. Then the fog backed off and hung along the horizon again. Now it’s getting foggy at Lake Hood again.
Be careful going out to feed the ducks. That freezing fog is going to make everything slick as all getout.

November 14
Persist in Praying
They should always pray and not give up.
Luke 18:1 <
Mila, a baking assistant, felt too helpless to defend herself when her supervisor accused her of pilfering some raisin bread. The unfounded assertion and corresponding salary deduction were just two of many wrongful actions from her supervisor. “God, please help,” Mila prayed each day. “It’s so hard working under her, but I need this job.”
Jesus tells of a widow who also felt helpless and “sought justice against [her] adversary” (Luke 18:3). She turned to someone with the authority to resolve her case—a judge. Despite knowing that the judge was unjust, she persisted in approaching him.
The judge’s eventual response (vv. 4-5) is infinitely different from that of our heavenly Father, who quickly responds with love and help. If persistence could cause an unjust judge to take up a widow’s case, how much more can and will God, who is the just Judge, do for us (vv. 7-8)? We can trust Him “to bring about justice for his chosen ones” (v. 7) and being persistent in praying is one way of showing our trust. We persist because we have faith that God will respond in perfect wisdom to our situation.
Eventually, Mila’s supervisor resigned after other employees complained about her behavior. As we walk in obedience to God, let’s persist in praying, knowing the power of our prayers lies in the one who hears and helps us.
Reflect & Pray
When have you felt like giving up on praying? How can you reflect on God’s character as you pray?

Howdy, luvie.
Love that pic!
Hope your day’s gone well.
It’s been like a hurricane here all day. It’s been VERY windy and now the wind’s blowing even harder as the front gets closer. The kitties are a-twitch because the wind keeps banging the windows.
But little rain so far. *sigh* IF the radars aren’t lyin’, it looks like we’re about to get some.

Hey there, radu!
It is a great picture, huh! Genuine love between president and the troops. Very rare.
I noticed when I checked your weather a bit ago that it was showing rain. Hope that the wind calms down soon or those kitties are going to be freaking out and you won’t be able to sleep. It’s funny. Storms absolutely don’t bother Peaches and Ginger at all. They just sleep through it. Thank heavens. LOL!
