Greetings to all at the Canteen!
To all our military men and women, past and present,

Howdy, lauren. *HUGZ*
Did you have a large time in OK?
Happy Monday motoring!
Very boring weekend with me, did visit Robin and the pups yesterday but didn't do much else.
Our weather is definitely turning to Fall with heat on in the morning and cooler but still sunny days.
Hope all is well with you.

Thanks, unique, for the road trippers!

Hi there radu!
Yep, it was a laugh-a-minute, LOL!
Hard work pays off sometimes, it was a record event. I tell ya though, Oklahoma needs rain as badly as we do. Hopefully that will come for both of us this week.
Hope you have an awesome week!

Bible in a Year :
In every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
A meteorologist in Mississippi went viral for uttering six simple yet profound words during his weather forecast on March 24, 2023. Matt Laubhan was tracking a severe storm when he realized a catastrophic tornado was about to bear down on the town of Amory. That’s when Laubhan paused on live TV to say this prayer heard worldwide: “Dear Jesus, please help them. Amen.” Some viewers later said that prayer prompted them to take cover. His spontaneous and heartfelt prayer may have helped save countless lives.
Our prayers can make a difference too. They don’t have to be long-winded. They can be short and sweet and can be said at any time of the day. Whether we’re at work, running errands, or on vacation, we can “pray continually” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
God loves to hear us pray throughout the day. The apostle Paul reminds us that we don’t have to be prisoners of worry or fear but can take all our cares and concerns to God: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).
Whether we’re enjoying a sunny day or being hit by the literal or figurative storms of life, let’s remember to pause and pray throughout the day.
Reflect & Pray
How can you be more intentional about praying throughout the day? How has your prayer life grown over the years?
Heavenly Father, thank You that I can pray to You at any time.
Howdy, PRO.
Sounds like a pretty good weekend. Relaxing.
Mine was, too, except for an hour or so mowing yesterday. I did nothing Saturday.
Back to working at the Republican women’s tent during early voting the next few days and that’ll keep me busy. Life returns to normal Friday.
It does sound like Fall’s settling in up there. Our weather hasn’t made up its mind yet. Chilly a few days with cold nights, last week was hot, and this week is pretty close to perfect. The only thing missing is rain, which we desperately need.
All’s well on the farm and da kittehs are as obnoxious as ever. LOL
Howdy, Kathy.
What a shock to pull up the Lake Hood cam and see everything white! Glad you didn’t have to get out and about today. Probably crashes galore around the city.
A record event? WOOHOO!! Sounds like a great time, even though it was a lot of work.
Yep, I think all of us across the south are in dire straits due to lack of rain. We’re choking on the smoke in the air from wildfires south and west of us. I got 5/100ths of an inch Sat. and that’s ALL for the entire month.

Ah, the memories!
I retired from the Army at APG over five years ago.
I got lost once in a restricted area on post. A policeman flagged me down and when I told him where I needed to go, he not only led the way there, but helped me complete the task that I had to do there. Nice guy!
I live a couple miles from the gate. We hear explosions fairly frequently.
