MASSIVE ELECTION INTEGRITY VICTORY:
The 5th Circuit has just ruled that ballots must be received BY ELECTION DAY to be counted — not days after — following an RNC lawsuit.
This is a seismic win for fair, accurate, secure, and transparent elections
WHERE is the 5th circuit? Which states does it buy us anything? That’s all that matters.
Do you know if this state specific or does it apply across the country?
Wouldn’t this mean everywhere?
Waiting for a judge in Hawaii, who has a copy of Obama’s “birth certificate”, to chime in any minute now.

Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi
The issue was from Mississippi
But this is federal court
MISS-—Louisiana-—Texas & the CANAL ZONE
not.
“Congress statutorily designated a singular “day for the election” of members of Congress and the appointment of presidential electors. Text, precedent, and historical practice confirm this “day for the election” is the day by which ballots must be both cast by voters and received by state officials. Because Mississipppi’s statute allows ballot receipt up to five days after the federal election day, it is preemted by federal law. We reverse the district court’s contrary judgment and remand for further proceedings.”
Yes finally!

It seems it won’t be applied to this years election because it has already started
Does mean every state, or just those in their jurisdiction?
The 5th Circuit, headquartered in New Orleans, exercises jurisdiction over Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
The fly in this ointment is that the unionized USPS could screen for ballots from areas known to be predominantly “Republican” areas, or even names on the return addresses, and make sure those arrived after election day.
I’m all for the ruling, which moves towards common sense. I’m just concerned that Republicans be careful how and where they cast their ballots. Mail = vulnerable to malfeasance, automation flaws, incompetence, indifference, and genuine accidents like truck crashes and fires.
... so, after the polls close leftist operatives will be dispatched to ‘delay’ the vehicles that are delivering boxes of ballot from well-known conservative areas. More than one flat tire at once, sudden hold in the radiator, large tree falling on the road, etc anything to prevent the delivery by midnight on voting day.
:-) Conspiracies Are US, Inc.
Define “received”.
No more 3 am after election day?
Which states are in the 5th ???
