Princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis hurried through the medieval monastery that is part of her 500-room palace. It was a chilly autumn night in Bavaria, with rain spitting outside, as she arrived at the chapel to pray.
The room glowed red, lit from a crypt below where her husband and other family members lay in their coffins. The princess knelt and soft bells sounded. Her dinner guests, a British baroness and her husband, slipped in to join her as a priest led prayers.
Princess Gloria, 64, who burst onto the international scene in the 1980s..as since evolved into a conservative Catholic with ties to the European far right. An anti-abortion and anti-immigration provocateur in her native Germany, she has welcomed a newcomer into her circle as a hero: Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr., who was her guest at her annual music festival in the summer of 2023.
...“I met him as a Catholic, and I realized that he’s a judge who is pro-life,” she said in an interview at her palace in Regensburg, home to the music festival. “So for me, that was a great thing, because very few people I know are pro-life.”
“The only thing that I care about in politics is that somebody is fighting abortion and helping reproduction rates go up,” she said in the interview. “I think that killing our own offspring and reducing our reproduction rates, eventually, we will kill our own kind.”
..becoming a widow and fighting to save the family fortune, she said, led her to return to the Catholicism of her childhood. It was a conservative Catholicism, more aligned with Pope Benedict than the more liberal views of Pope Francis. It was what brought her into the orbit of Justice Alito.

"She actually doesn't seem that Christian at all and the same can be said for Alito and his wife."
and " herein lies the motivation behind the relentless effort to ban abortion. Simple white supremacy."
In another article on the same day in the New York Times, Jamie Dimon from JP Morgan Chase is written about as not talking about his personal political stances and he is excoriated by the NY times reading public as “a coward for not standing up for what he thinks and opposing Trump”.
the double standards is incredible
Don’t those trolls ever get tired of sounding so stupid?! I swear, they obviously wake up every morning, look in the mirror 🪞 and say to themselves, “what’s the stupidest thing I could say today? I think I’ll post something about white supremacy and we’ll be good for today.”.
Once upon a time, this Princess Gloria partied with the Clintons. Did that friendship merit a deep dive in the NYT? Ha! But once you drift right, you’re suddenly a villain.
Whites in America already have a pretty low reproductive rate, don't they?
Are the majority of women getting abortions from minority groups?
Then won't the elimination of baby-killing INCREASE the population of minorities relative to whites?
What kind of "White Supremacy" would support making whites a disappearing minority?
Why wouldn't Whites support greater reproduction for Whites and unlimited abortions for minorities?
What am I missing here?
Schnackseln = Bavarian dialect for "to screw."
Regards,
Only demonically deranged reporters could equate trying to prevent abortion- in which nonwhites are disproportionately the victims- with “white supremacy.”
Completely illogical.
Any time they label someone with the term “anti-abortion” instead of “prolife” the reporters give themselves away as lying trash.
I doubt he had any issues with abortions of Jews.
I think his opinion was just aimed at preventing abortion of ethnic German babies.
those were comments from readers!!

If Alito had ever had a meeting with Fidel Castro, the New York Times would report it in a positive manner. They are not a newspaper. They are a political mouthpiece for the Left.
If Alito had ever had a meeting with Fidel Castro, the New York Times would report it in a positive manner.
The slimes would criticize Castro for meeting with Alito.
LOL...rain spitting?
This reads like a new version of "it was a dark & stormy night..."
One thing though...she’s not a “princess.”
Nobility was abolished in Germany after WW I. The formerly nobel families are allowed to keep using the former title as part of their now very much commoner names.
In any case, she was just some wild commoner chick that caught the eye of her priapic former age-gap “prince” husband. Not a drop of blood of former nobility in her.
Though I do appreciate her using her faux status and very real wealth to propagate some sane ideas.
ANTIFA just took credit for burning down a historic hunting lodge in a threat against the princess:

The historic Thurn und Taxis hunting lodge was burned down on Monday morning. Lappersdorf Volunteer Fire Department.
German police are investigating whether far-left extremists from Antifa were behind a massive fire that destroyed the historic Thurn und Taxis hunting lodge near Regensburg, Bavaria earlier this week.
The fire, which broke out in the early hours of Monday, reduced the 19th-century building to its outer walls and caused damage estimated at around €4 million.
Authorities confirmed that a statement claiming responsibility for the arson has been posted on the far-left online platform Indymedia.
The message, signed by an “Antifa Kommando,” described the fire as a “warning” to Gloria, Dowager Princess of Thurn und Taxis, accusing her of “reactionary” and “fascist” sympathies.
Police in Regensburg said the statement is being examined but stressed that they are “investigating in all directions.”
The lodge, located in the Fürstlicher Thiergarten near Donaustauf, was being used as a golf club and restaurant. Local mayor Jürgen Sommer lamented the “heartbreaking loss” for the community, while the restaurant’s operators wrote on social media: “Our shared place of enjoyment, passion, and encounter is destroyed. What remains is emptiness and pain.”
In its incendiary statement, Antifa justified the attack by citing the princess’s alleged connections to right-wing figures such as former Trump strategist Steve Bannon, Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán, and members of Germany’s AfD party.
The text accused Thurn und Taxis of representing “monarchy, contempt for humanity, and class privilege,” and threatened that “if you don’t stop your inhuman agitation, next time not only your golf club will burn.”
