Vice President Kamala Harris’s hometown paper, the Los Angeles Times, will not deliver a 2024 presidential endorsement.
The paper’s lack of an endorsement is a slight to Harris. The Times endorsed President Joe Biden in 2020, Hillary Clinton in 2016, and Barack Obama in 2012 and 2008.
The decision not to endorse Harris came from the paper’s owner, Dr. Patrick Soon-Shion, Semafor’s Max Tani reported Tuesday:
[A]ccording to two people familiar with the situation, executive editor Terry Tang told editorial board staff earlier this month that the paper would not be endorsing a candidate in the presidential election this cycle, a decision that came from the paper’s owner Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, a doctor who made his fortune in the healthcare industry.
The paper did not explain its decision, though it noted at the bottom of its online endorsement page that “the editorial board endorses selectively, choosing the most consequential races in which to make recommendations.”

It wouldn’t be the first time since he bought the paper in 2018 that owner Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong had overruled the wishes of the paper’s editorial board. In 2020, the paper met with Democratic candidates for president for interviews with the intention of making a pick in the race. But after deciding to endorse Elizabeth Warren in the Democratic, at the last minute Soon-Shiong overruled its leadership and said there would be no endorsement in the primary race (the paper endorsed Joe Biden in the general election).

Really. The LA Times endorsing Harris would ordinarily be a gimme. They must view her chances as rapidly deteriorating and don’t want to Hitch their wagon to a dying horse.
Obviously they’re racist.
Wow. This is even bigger than the unions non-endorsement.
The house of cards seems to be crumbling. I hope this makes a difference.
Home town?
Since mid-2018, the L.A. Times has had a new owner, for what it’s worth...
Heard other Leftist rag newspapers are considering not backing her..
If Deep State gets out of Dodge one step ahead of the posse while taking what’s left of the contents our Treasury with it, who the heck will be running the country?!
That speaks volumes.
Hahahahahahahaha, OMG!! Et tu, Brute?
And remember, if Gore had won his own state, he would have won the election...without Florida!!
The Scoop:
The owner of the Los Angeles Times has blocked the paper from endorsing a candidate for president this year.
Last week, the LA Times published its electoral endorsements for the 2024 election. And while the paper noted in its first line that it is “no exaggeration to say this may be the most consequential election in a generation,” that was the only mention of the presidential race in its endorsements.
The paper’s editorial board, which has endorsed Democratic candidates in every presidential race since it first endorsed then-Sen. Barack Obama in 2008, was preparing to do so once again this election.
But according to two people familiar with the situation, executive editor Terry Tang told editorial board staff earlier this month that the paper would not be endorsing a candidate in the presidential election this cycle, a decision that came from the paper’s owner Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, a doctor who made his fortune in the healthcare industry.
The paper did not explain its decision, though it noted at the bottom of its online endorsement page that “the editorial board endorses selectively, choosing the most consequential races in which to make recommendations.”
An LA Times spokesperson told Semafor, “We do not comment on internal discussions or decisions about editorials or endorsements.”
The subversive output has not changed.
“ Vice President Kamala Harris’s hometown paper, the Los Angeles Times”
Los Angeles is not in Montreal.
Well, something seems to be changing.
Is she not liberal enough?
My guess is that she’s too stupid and radical.
The man who owns the paper seems to be extremely intelligent, whatever else he may be.
Maybe stuff like this just goes too far:

LOL.
Did she actually do that, or did someone create it? I couldn’t tell...
