Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits for more than 72.5 million Americans will increase 2.5 percent in 2025.
The 2.5 percent cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) will begin with benefits payable to nearly 68 million Social Security beneficiaries in January 2025. Increased payments to nearly 7.5 million SSI recipients will begin on December 31, 2024. (Note: some people receive both Social Security and SSI benefits)

Not to worry though, all those relying on Social Security will still have an extra $25 per month to cover the extra $200 for groceries, $100 for gas, $300 for rent, etc.
Classroom example of the cause and effect of Biden/Harris inflation.
So all you seniors out there getting ready to vote for the moronic Harris and Tampon Tim, you just might want to think about that and maybe reconsider . . .
Citizens?
Screw ‘em!! We’ve got illegals to feed, clothe, house, and treat.
The cost of living has gone up WAY more than 2.5%, imo.
Not to mention many paying additional taxes on that 2.5%!
Hey now, kowmala is gonna cut taxes for 100 million folks out here.
Many of them not only pay nothing, but get thousands in return!
Easy fix. Everyone pays 17%. No forms, no exemptions, no need for an IRS. Yeah, I know.......
I think the stinking, insulting, teenyweeny 2.5% Unsociable Insecurity “COLA” will cost the Biden/Harris regime millions of votes
regardless of which of us like SSA and which of us don’t
.... SSA has promised COLAs. old people rely on them. and a crappy microscopic 2% “COLA” in the fact of 20% inflation (stoked by the same BidenHarris regime’s monetary and fiscal policies)........ is the THEFT of 18% +/- of retiree’s pensions in the course of just this single year alone
not to mention the last 3 years
President Trump could really seize on this issue in the campaign? being sure to include mention of everybody’s lowered standard of living (not limited to SSA recipients) under Biden/Harris
my eggs and bread are triple the price since biden got in
Apparently it is finally dawning on a lot of people that there’s only one way to keep Social Security solvent without (1) raising the retirement age, and/or (2) raising FICA payroll taxes, and/or (3) reducing nominal benefits: deliberately under-report inflation metrics so the COLA adjustments don’t keep up with true cost of living increases.
Collectivism doesn’t work if everyone is financially able to support themselves.
No matter how much the COLA is, medicare always screws us out of our money, OUR money, it’s a game every time we’re lucky enough to get a COLA, every...single...time, medicare screws us AND kacklin’ kammy wants medicare for all, imagine what will happen then if this idiot manages to fraudulently get into office. Vote early, vote often, just like dems and pray hard that the Lord spares us from her nonsense.

For sure. And that’s why the Feds use the inflation measure they do. Can’t be fair to older Americans who worked all their lives AND spend billions on overseas adventures AND spend billions on illegals.
Something’s gotta give.
My SS income will go up $1,200 for the year and the medicare premium will go up $400 so I’m still ahead. SS won’t run out for me but it will for my kids.
Simple math, +2.5% - 6.0% = -3.5%
Stand by for smaller checks, seniors. DJT should be all over this.
That’s just for one year. It’s cumulative...it’s about 20% for the Biden years.
This is the same government who gives hundreds of billions in foreign aid, billions to Ukraine, billions to Israel, spends trillions on wars where we win nothing but death in debt and on and on.
No one is voting for Harris and Walz.
A lot of people are voting against Trump.
You forgot the billions spent on illegal aliens.
17%? Shouldn’t that be 10%?
Most churches only ask 10% as a tithe, should a government demand more than God?
