KYIV, Ukraine (AP) – Ukrainian military recruitment officers raided restaurants, bars and a concert hall in Kyiv, checking military registration documents and detaining men who were not in compliance, local media reported Saturday.
Officers reportedly descended on Kyiv’s Palace of Sports venue after a concert Friday night by Ukrainian rock band Okean Elzy. Video footage aired by local media outlets appears to show officers stationed outside the doors of the concert hall intercepting men as they exit. In the footage, officers appear to be forcibly detaining some men.
Checks were also conducted at Goodwine, an upscale shopping center, and Avalon, a popular restaurant.

They can dance until they’re dragooned off to the meat grinders. Giving ZEEPERS moist dreams, no doubt.
When has any war stopped night clubs, bars and entertainment, even in WWII? Think Germany, Britain, France, Japan, the Philippines, anywhere.
“On October 15, 1942, the exclusive “Tsubaki Club” (in Manila) opened its doors to the cream of the occupation intelligentsia, including her ex-employer’s clients. The club featured a floor show of Asian dance routines, steamy ”torch” numbers sung by Claire, and a temple dance inspired by Hedy Lamarr in Lady of the Tropics. Guests were attended to by beautiful hostesses and white-jacketed waiters.
The grand opening was a hit and subsequent shows quickly sold out. Patrons were delighted with the entertainment, personal service, and atmosphere. The outrageous prices they paid meant huge profits—which were used to buy food and medicine on the black market. This contraband was smuggled to imprisoned Americans and to Boone’s guerrilla band on Bataan.”
We are trying to make sure we have NO SM-3 missies in case China does something.
And almost every other weapon that we have.
Don’t worry folks. It will work out fine :)
They’re looking for snipers who can boogaloo.
But it’s for freedom, see?
Don’t you have to be kind of stupid if your country is at war and you know the Country’s Military is going around rounding up conscripts against their will, to be in a night club partying, it’s like wearing giant sign saying TAKE ME.
About a year ago, a FReeper told me the war was ‘just for the cameras’, while the more affluent went to bars and restaurants at night. Clearly the citizens trust that non military zones will not be attacked? Maybe Zelensky stayed in office this long by conscripting those in combat zones and letting the night life continue in areas not in conflict?
Read the article, it is draft law compliance checks, not randomly grabbing men.

Good group for cannon fodder. The smart ones should know better than to get caught out and sent to the fronts.
No doubt indeed!!
I’m no Kiev regime fan, but check out London 1943, Saigon 1969, Los Angeles 1944, Tokyo nightlife 1952...etc. The nightclubs were rockin’.
Middle east not so much but that’s because they don’t party.

“what? me worry?”
Dear forced conscripts…
Remember, you have guns too.
Just sayin’.
LOL!! I vaguely remember that movie title when it came out. I'm a big band fan, so may have even watched it at some point.
So that makes it okay? It's another "show me your papers" moment.
