Project 65, a “dark money” left-wing group that has targeted lawyers that represented former President Donald Trump in 2020, is now warning potential Trump attorneys that they could be disbarred for working for him.
In an ad posted on Instagram, and apparently targeted at lawyers, Project 65 warns: “Don’t let partisan politics endanger your standing with the bar. The Porter Wright Partners face ethics complaints over Trump campaign post-election work. Don’t risk your law license by joining an effort to subvert democracy. We – and the public – are watching.”
Porter Wright is a firm that represented Trump in Pennsylvania in 2020. Its lawyers withdrew from representing Trump mere days after the November election after coming under intense pressure.
The “ethics complaints” referred to in the Project 65 ad were brought in 2022 by Project 65 itself against Ronald Hicks and Carolyn McGee, who were partners at Porter Wright at the time. Both now work for another firm, Nelson Mullins; they withdrew from representing Trump before the first hearing in his election challenges even took place. The Pennsylvania Office of Disciplinary Counsel does not appear to have taken any action against either of them.

It’s sanctionable for a lawyer to threaten another lawyer with sanctions if they pursue a case. If these putative lawyers for Trump have any sand at all, they’ll be even more determined to represent him after this punk-a@@ organization threatened them.
This is outright terrorism. This needs to be thoroughly prosecuted. To deprive a person of their living for legal actions — indeed, for doing their jobs! — is pure
unbridled terrorism, period.

The difference is in 2020 amidst the Covid chaos and the novelty election steal people on the Trump side weren’t prepared. But now they know what to expect and how to respond.
I believe that a new DOJ could bring a RICO case against this group for conspiring to violate Trumps 6th Amendment right to counsel.
It’s election interference.
It undermines the function of the Republic.
The FBI, Homeland, CIA, IRS, EPA, SS, DOJ, State Department, haven’t either.
We the people need a great reset, and it involves proper punishment of these people who don’t allow free and fair elections, and deny people their Constitutional rights under the color of law.
I support arrests, transport to GITMO, military trials, and public hanging for those who have used government resources or contacts for the above. I don’t support it because I want revenge, I support it to preserve the Constitutional Republic. I support it because it’s better than a civil war for all Americans. I support it because the entire free world should not descend into Tyranny and War because the actions of a few. Sadly, and I truly mean this, it’s the only way that my small mind can think of to save the Republic. The truth needs to be parroted into the ears of Americans, and these people need to be exposed, and punished such that it doesn’t ever happen again. This is the greatest threat to the Constitution in history, as the South in Civil War 1 never tried to eliminate the Constitution and voices of the people.
Lincoln was right, a house divided cannot stand. Project 65 is an abomination of the law, and the peoples rights. It’s an omen and an indicator how the Justice system has become corrupt, and government use of it to attack the voice of the people. They say it’s about Trump, but it’s really about power and money at all costs and ‘winning’ justifying the means. Should this nation learn to be functional again. The aforementioned parties and Project 65 declared war on the Constitution, ignore it a your children’s future peril.

How "Banana Republic" has this country gotten when lawyers are threatened with disbarment based on whomever is their client ?
