Melania Trump has done her best to stay out of the spotlight throughout her husband’s presidential tenure and political career. Now, in a memoir titled Melania set to be published a month before election today, she has openly chosen a side in America’s abortion wars. The Guardian obtained a copy of the memoir, and published the former—and possibly future—First Lady’s pro-abortion declaration:
It is imperative to guarantee that women have autonomy in deciding their preference of having children, based on their own convictions, free from any intervention or pressure from the government. Why should anyone other than the woman herself have the power to determine what she does with her own body?
A woman’s fundamental right of individual liberty, to her own life, grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes. Restricting a woman’s right to choose whether to terminate an unwanted pregnancy is the same as denying her control over her own body. I have carried this belief with me throughout my entire adult life.

Lesson should be simple: “Never take moral advice from a former nude model.”
Vomiting.
Exactly. It’s not Trump’s job to dictate how everyone should choose. It’s just his job to ensure that the Republic functions as it was meant to do. He has always done that.
What he and his wife may personally think (and none of us really knows the whole truth of that) is their business.
Yeah, that's right. Believe the first thing you read, that is quoted from a UK tabloid. I prefer to wait for the actual facts to come out first.
Perhaps it is not contested in New Hampshire. The rest of America is not New Hampshire.

She wants him to lose. What a disgusting person.
When I saw it was quoted from The Guardian, I stopped reading it. She just got interviewed by Ainsley Earhardt from Fox & Friends. I saw a portion of the interview, and don't remember abortion being brought up. President Trump promoted her book at one of his rallies, and told people to buy it. I learned a long time ago, not to believe anything I read until all the facts are in.
“Timshel” ✔️
Nancy Reagan, Laura Bush, Barbara Bush were both pro-"choice", too.
You are claiming complete control over another person's body. That baby is another person and that person's body is not your body. Unless you were raped, you gave permission for the child to be there. You are claiming the "right" to kill another person if they are a mere inconvenience / unwanted.
Well since our country is falling apart at warp speed pace and she doesn’t have any decision making power, let’s save the strength for outrage for a later date.
And if Trump gets swayed by his wife on such an important and moral issue, then he’s not the man I thought he was.
Well this little nugget, if true, will certainly do a couple of things. First, it will get out there and cause a lot of people who thought the First Lady was so great to rethink that, and, secondly, a whole lot of people who would otherwise buy her book, won’t.
What a stupid thing to come out with at this time. If she’s just trying to let people know she’s doesn’t agree with everything her husband stands for, some other topic would have done the job. He’ll get a different reaction when he mentions her at rallies if this is true. It will be tepid at best.
Yeah, well, Nancy Reagan was a nutball.
Reagan was still a great president in spite of that.
“Murder is the most terrible crime there is. Anything less than the death penalty is an insult to the victim and society. It says..that we don’t value the victim’s life enough to punish the killer fully.” — Mike Royko.
Disappointing.
So, Melania is the Democrat’s October Surprise?
Right. Sure...
Or the GOP trying to enlarge the tent?
Anything reported in the scary month of October in an election year is bound to be boo-loney.
Unfortunate. But any way - It is no longer contested in Kansas or Idaho, or anywhere else they have elections.
You forgot Deliah.
Is the leftwing lunatic paper The Guardian the ONLY publication that obtained a copy?
Darn convenient if they’re lying, which they usually do.
