Former President Jimmy Carter received fond birthday wishes Sunday from President Joe Biden, with the soon-to-depart White House octogenarian telling him, “Mr. President, I admire you so darn much.”
“Your hopeful vision of our country, your commitment to a better world, and your unwavering belief in the power of human goodness continues to be a guiding light for all of us,” Biden said in a birthday message released to CBS News. The current president cited Carter, who was president of the United States from 1977 to 1981, as “one of the most influential statesmen in our history,” for his work both in high office and the years since.
“Even after you left office, the moral clarity you showed throughout your career showed through again in your commitment through the Carter Center and Habitat for Humanity — resolving conflicts, advancing democracy, preventing disease, and so much more. It’s transforming the lives of people not only at home but around the world,” Biden said.

Despite being in hospice for the past year or so, Jimmy is probably still sharper than Slow Joe.
Jo Jo only went to the birthday party for the free ice cream, funny hats and to sniff all the little kids.
A feckless, weak, poorly informed “guiding light” — quelle surprise.
Given Carter’s embrace of Muslim terrorists, it might be argued he’s been worse as an ex-President than when he was serving as President.
I would more accurately call Jimmy Carter a Mis-guiding Light.
It was a ‘Losers Club’
I can understand it. Both of them are old enough to have played to white racism to get votes before they jumped on the anti-racism bandwagon.
Jimmy Carter, NICE GUY...but a sht President...
Joe is so stupid
He was born that way he didn’t need anybody’s help.
Joe and Jim are both losers; one does things intelligently and Joe does things stupidly. They will both be recorded as losers historically.
It figures. My father was born 110 years ago this past Sept 23. HE is more of a Guiding Light even dead that that backwards peanut farmer. He died of service connected disability in 1971 while I was overseas serving - he went from North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France and to Germany occupation.
He went to war - was in it from 1939 to 1948 (the duration) when he finally came home and continued on in service until 1964 when he had to medically retire. He died at 57 but he was an eminently better man than Jimmy.
God Bless
The man who, representing the U.N., sanctified the use of computerized voting in Venezuela.
In his misnamed campaign biography, Why Not the Best?, Carter tells about an incident from 1937 when Joe Louis won the world heavyweight boxing title by defeating a white man. The Carters had a radio and Jimmy's father put the radio on a windowsill so the black men who lived nearby could listen to the match. After Louis won, they went about 100 yards away before celebrating.
He was my guiding light too.
He taught me at the tender age of 8 what a#####s democrats were.
And at age 12, I found out what an incredible president looks like.
A few words from the democrats favorite pedophile...
