Hogan: People Are Fed Up with ‘Trump’s Divisive Rhetoric’
Breitbart ^ | 09/29/2024 | Pam Key

Posted on 09/29/2024 1:28:02 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that he is running for the U.S. Senate because people are fed up with former President Donald Trump’s “divisive rhetoric.”

Host Robert Costa said, “Former President Donald Trump, who in recent days on the campaign trail has attacked vice president harris and he’s said she has mental issues. he has said thing after thing, questioning her intelligence, her ability. Do you believe former President Donald Trump is fit for office or not?”

It is spineless “Republicans” like Hogan that are the cause of many of the problems we have in this country. They lie to their constituents and once elected are nothing but democrats. He is the worst of the Rinos, the kind that always blame a Republican when he/she fights back using the democrat play book. Scum is too good a word for him.

I’m thinking we’re better off without this POS traitor. He’ll be like Romney, out in the MSM every single day backstabbing Trump and normals/conservatives.

Trump is Hitler.
Trump is a Nazi.
Trump is a racist and hates all people of color.
Trump is a threat to democracy.
Trump is power mad.
Trump is a rapist.
Trump locks kids up in cages. (actually that was Obama)
Trump is a Russian asset.
Trump had a secret server in Trump Tower to communicate with Russia.
Trump is on Putin’s payroll.
Trump is a sexual pervert cavorting with Russian hookers and making a Pee Tape.
Trump is a criminal
Trump must be eliminated
Trump started the birther movement about Obama. (It was Hillary)
Trump is evil.
Trump will end democracy.
etc etc etc

The above is divisive rhetoric. It was all spoken by democrat party leaders. I do not know if the two assassination attempts on Trump were by crazy men. I do know that the above rhetoric will inspire a crazy man to try and kill Trump. They would consider it a noble and patriotic action, much like trying to kill Hitler in WWII. Hitler needed killing. The democrats have inspired the same logic about Trump.

Saying what he has to to be the next Willard Romney, but he will give us at least some votes. His Democrat opponent will give us zero.

Aren't you supposed to be running a senate campaign idiot??

That is how a Republican has to run statewide in Maryland to even have a chance win.

I think you are right. If the GOP keeps voting for the R with a “this is the best we can do” attitude, then where is the impetus to actually seek out quality candidates? I think this mindset is what the GOP Establishment misses. The good old days of Uni Party control, lots of our money to fund their endless wars, and control over the unwashed.

“Don’t care. I’ll take the Democrat over Hogan all day.”

So will Biden, Harris, Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries. Birds of a feather I guess.

I’m sick of Hogan and his suck-up pro-abort TV ads we’re forced to endure.

The Dem polls far ahead right now.

The delightful part of this is . . . it is the end of Hogan. No more seeing him as the designated Republican to come on a talk show.

There is an effort underway, at the media, to conceal a particular reality. Independents have become ascendant, and that means they don’t have anyone in their database of phone numbers to call for quotes.

Least of all Hogan.

As for the value of having the Senate — the debt is $36T. NOTHING CAN BE DONE. No policies. No issues. It’s all over. Every debt ceiling bill is going to pass regardless of who has which house.

The only issue is Drain the Swamp, and Hogan is not going to do that so he is on the wrong side of the only issue.

Having lived in Maryland for 30 years, I agree with those who say what I said about voting for McCain & Romney: “I’ll hold my nose and vote for him.” I voted for Hogan for governor back when he first ran, because he was better than the Democrapt candidate...and he is still better than having his opponent in the Senate.

I’ve been back home again in Indiana for the last 6 years.

Does Larry Cheap-Shot Hogan know which party he’s running with for the Senate?

For a Republican…Nothing like making TDS anti-MAGA a platform issue

We already have a democrat candidate for that.

Larry is hardening my resolve to write-in Ronald Reagan

“ You will never get better than Hogan in Maryland. Stop cutting off your nose to spite your face. It’s counterproductive.”

I wish we had more people on our side with the wisdom to see that.

As you said, Trump is Trump. Like him or dislike him, that the way he is. People who will (or consider to) vote for him have already taken into account his styles and where he stands.

It is his campaign and/or his surrogates that need to make this styles of speaking to be an advantage for Trump.

“ hogan recommends bending over for the left

like he does

no thanks”
************************************

Well, I live in Maryland and, as Governor, Hogan sure did NOT govern that way (i.e., “bending over for the left”). He actively resisted and vetoed DemocRATS’ initiatives and instead of continual DemocRAT tax increases he delivered tax and fee reductions.
