It’s simple: ABC sucks. Haven’t watched their news, and the other alphabet news, for years.
The title is overwrought. Some Alabama alums invited Trump to the game and ABC showed a brief clip of Trump in a private suite. Well, that’s about what was appropriate. They had no obligation to turn it into a Trump campaign ad or talk about the assassination attempts.

I haven’t launched Brave on my Mac for a long time, so I just gave it a go. It required me to download and install a new version (129.1.70.119) which was easy and painless.
WOW, it is great. The DM is now a useful site. That’s even better than the READER view in Safari.

FU! We are not surprised that ABC would ignore or show Trump in as bad a light as possible.
A sports broadcast usually covers all things of interest at a game.
If a stadium full of tens of thousands of people think a VIP entering the arena is interesting, certainly the fans watching the game at home would think the same and would like to see it covered.
Not that complicated a concept.
ABC seems to have trouble with it, although we know the reason why. What's your excuse?
The "obligation" is to broadcast what may be of interest and what may be newsworthy to the audience watching.
Whether the interesting or newsworthy event turns into a Trump campaign ad is irrelevant.
I doubt ABC will show Walz responding to Michigan Wolverine fans after someone yelled, “Trump 2024 baby!”
