The title is overwrought. Some Alabama alums invited Trump to the game and ABC showed a brief clip of Trump in a private suite. Well, that’s about what was appropriate. They had no obligation to turn it into a Trump campaign ad or talk about the assassination attempts.
The "obligation" is to broadcast what may be of interest and what may be newsworthy to the audience watching.
Whether the interesting or newsworthy event turns into a Trump campaign ad is irrelevant.
