It stays somewhat warm here through October and our first cold hit is usually right around Halloween. It’s cool now because of the storm but by this time next week, we’ll be back in the mid 80s.

I got curious and went out for a walk-around. It’s misting and it’s windier than I realized from just poking my head out the door. I was shocked that there isn’t much new tree trash on the ground I guess most of the weak stuff has already broken off. There was one maple branch, about 6 ft. long, that broke out and it was covered with green leaves. I was a little nervous and glad to get back to the house and out from all the trees after seeing that.

I discovered that the bobcat is still here. Haven’t seen that big kitty in a long time. It was at the edge of the back field behind the barn. Smart kitty, avoiding coyotes all this time. There was a pack of them behind the barn Wed. night, howling at the train horn as a train neared.
