Here’s the latest on the mayor’s indictment. Mayor Eric L. Adams has been indicted on federal criminal charges, according to people with knowledge of the matter, and will be the first mayor in New York City history to be charged while in office.
The indictment is sealed, and it was unclear what charge or charges Mr. Adams will face or when he will surrender to the authorities. Federal prosecutors are expected to announce the details of the indictment on Thursday.

It’s supposed to be about fast-tracking approval by NYFD of a Turkish high-rise but somehow that seems a bit unlikely to me.

The New York Times reported shortly later that the warrant sought records related to contributions, travel to Turkey by people linked to the campaign, and documents of interactions between the campaign and Turkey’s government, or people acting at its behest.

Hope he doubles down
A former officer received a court award of $175k in just the past couple of weeks for blowing the whistle on the NYPD “Courtesy Card” practice. He claimed it was a get out of jail free card for not only traffic violations, but also serious crimes.
I wonder if this is related.
