Russia intends to transfer powerful anti-ship missiles to Yemeni terrorists

Iran has acted as a mediator in secret negotiations between Russia and Yemeni Houthis regarding the transfer of anti-ship missiles to the group. Currently, the Houthis are targeting commercial vessels in the Red Sea, according to Reuters.

Seven sources have stated that Russia has not yet decided to transfer Yakhont missiles (also known as P-800 Onyx). According to experts, these missiles would allow the militant group to more accurately strike commercial vessels in the Red Sea and increase the threat to those protecting them, such as US and European naval ships.

The Wall Street Journal reported in July that Russia was considering sending the missiles. Iran's role as a mediator had not been previously disclosed.

It’s just a matter of time before DC gets a USN ship sunk with last century’s gunboat diplomacy.

Proxy wars are fun!

The US would like to weaken Russia, but a direct war with Russia carries risks — so we’ll have Ukraine fight the war for us!

Hey! Russia can play that game too! They’d like to weaken the US, but a direct war with the US carries risks — so they’ll make sure the Houthis can sink our ships!

It didn’t have to be this way.

The game of TAT can be fun (when playing with OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY) but becomes less fun when it morphs into TIT for TAT.

Sauce for the Goose is Sauce for the Gander.

Ukrainian terrorists

Yeah, the ones who are defending themselves from a foreign invasion are the terrorists, not the ones who have invaded and are bombing civilian targets in the cities. Sure, that makes sense.

The War in Ukraine, the war in the Middle East, Russian oil exports, Iranian oil, the Harris-Biden fossil fuel policies, and our purchases of Chicom manufactured goods are linked inextricably.
And the globalist elite billionaires caused it
all.

Only in the mind of a Russian chauvinists who does not care about the facts. It is the Russians who have invaded another country, claimed their land, and bombed their cities. The “crime” of the Ukrainians is defending themselves from that invasion. All the harping in the world will not change these facts.

And please, do not say that the Russians were provoked. The only thing that provoked Putin was a perceived weakness in NATO under Biden that made him think he could get away with his land-grab and return Ukraine to Russian control.

Unless the US and Britain are willing to put boots on the ground to wipeout in a long bloody campaign that will result in many casualties, the attacks on ships with increasingly sophisticated, effective missiles will continue. The 9/11 Saudis who are adjacent to Yemen, despite their huge military investment and armaments have proved to be utterly useless when they try to fight the Houthis.

I will not speak to the other issues but it was Putin, not “globalist elite billionaires” that caused the war in Ukraine.

This is what happens if good diplomacy takes a leave of absence, I wonder even if we still have any diplomats left worth their money. This war never should have happened in the first place.

Anyone have a notion as to how dangerous these missiles are to shipping and our naval ships there?

Somewhere on those missiles, you’ll find the phrase “ from Russia with love.”
