New data from the Howard University Initiative on Public Opinion offers insight into Black voters' support heading into the 2024 presidential election.
The Howard University poll shows an overwhelming majority of Black voters in the seven swing states support Vice President Kamala Harris over former President Trump.
A whopping 82% of respondents told pollsters that they supported Harris compared to just 12% that backed Trump.
Approximately 5% of respondents indicated they are undecided and the final 1% said they intend to vote for a candidate other than Harris or Trump.
The data shows a significant difference between age groups.
Approximately 89% of Black voters over 50 years old backed Harris, while only 8% backed Trump and 4% backed an alternative candidate.
Among young Black voters, the majority still overwhelmingly backed Harris (75%), but support for Trump doubled to 16% and support for alternative candidates shot up to 9%.
This age difference was most obvious among men — men under 50 broke 72% to 21% in favor of Harris, contrasted against 88% to 10% among men over 50.
The Howard University poll surveyed Black voters over the age of 18 and registered to vote in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Racial (Racist) Loyalty, this be it.
Many in the black community are predicting Harris will ultimately get 90+% of their vote. It’s been fairly consistent over the years.
men under 50 broke 72% to 21% in favor of Harris
That’s a phenomenal statistic for Trump.
Why do you have to make fabrications when the real news is so good?
Black women will NEVER, EVER vote more than 8 or so percent for the R because the D government is their BABYDADDY, GRANDPA and RICH UNCLE all wrapped into one.
But black young men...that’s really hopeful.
Statistically, the numbers I have seen over the years suggest that if over 12 percent of the Black vote goes Republican the Democrats have a very hard time winning national elections
Fox poll meant to demoralize us. Gas lighting at its best.
What surprise. Blacks are solidly in the Democrat plantation. Who knew?
To me, the title is confusing, but maybe that’s just me.
“Fox poll meant to demoralize us.”
I’m surprised that Fox hasn’t already “called it” for kaMAla, as winner of the election.
Not mentioned is that that is quite a drop from the previous mid-90% range for the dependable black vote in general. Democrats must be confused about their political slaves leaving the plantation after all they’ve done to them.
Yea. Hoping blacks vote for Trump is a mirage. It’s nice that a few blacks speak up for Trump but it is hardly a winning margin. The Democrat black base is fully bought and paid for.
Fox is interesting they give us fox and friends, outnumbered, waters, and Gutfeld, but then the rest seems to be in the tank for the deepstate
Fixed it.
“the rest seems to be in the tank for the deepstate”
I especially despise Sandra Smith, Martha McCallum, and Bret Baier. Of course, I haven’t watched ANY of them since 2020, so don’t even know if they’re still there.
I about lost it when Sandra Smith truly believed that Fox “calling” an election constituted the official result. “But we CALLED it!” Yeah, Bitch; you’re a freakin’ idiot.
I predict this too. I also predict that in 2028 the black community will have all the same complaints. Hopefully by then no one will target the community with specisl attention. The effort woulf have been spent on the Arab community or women.
I wouldn’t expect brain dead lemmings to anything else but what they’re told.
It is almost as if we live in two different countries.
They see Hoo Doo Harris as the signer of their “reparations” checks. If you’re black, the Jammie Mammie Kammie is going to make you a millionaire.
