BEIRUT (AP) — Lebanon’s health ministry says one person was killed and over 100 were wounded on Wednesday by exploding electronic devices in multiple regions of country. The explosions came a day after an apparent Israeli attack targeting pagers used by Hezbollah killed at least 12 and wounded nearly 3,000. THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. AP’s earlier story follows below. BEIRUT (AP) — Multiple explosions went off Wednesday at the site of a funeral for three Hezbollah members and a child killed by exploding pagers the day before, according to Associated Press journalists at the scene. Hezbollah’s Al Manar TV reported explosions in multiple areas of Lebanon, and a Hezbollah official told The Associated Press that walkie-talkies used by the group exploded as part of blasts heard in Beirut. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.

Live Updates: More Wireless Devices Explode in Lebanon
For a second day, there were reports of communication devices exploding across Lebanon and in the southern suburbs of the capital, Beirut, according to Lebanese state media.
Here are the latest developments.
Another wave of explosions was reported Wednesday afternoon in Lebanon, a day after at least 12 people were killed and thousands more injured in Lebanon in an apparently coordinated attack that targeted members of Hezbollah by blowing up their pagers.
Al-Manar, Hezbollah’s official broadcaster, reported wireless devices had exploded in multiple locations in Lebanon.
“There are buildings burning right now in front of me,” Mortada Smaoui, 30, a resident of Beirut’s southern suburbs, said after a series of simultaneous explosions hit his neighborhood. He said that firefighters and soldiers were rushing to the scene.
Lebanon’s state-run news agency reported explosions in other parts of Lebanon, with reports of casualties in eastern Baalbek that it attributed to wireless devices. The Lebanese Red Cross said that 30 ambulance teams were responding to “multiple explosions” in different locations, including the country’s south and east.
The chief medical officer at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, Salah Zeineddine, said that Lebanese authorities had put the hospital’s staff on standby following reports of a new round of explosions.
Hezbollah, the Lebanese armed group backed by Iran, had blamed Israel for the initial attack on Tuesday. That assessment was confirmed by U.S. and other officials who said Israel had planted explosives in at least hundreds of pagers. Israel, which has waged a long covert war against Iran and its allies, has declined to publicly comment on the attack.
Here’s what else to know:
Love the 1-2 punch.

Yes, the AP has to rise in support of the terrorists by bringing up one child killed.
Did the AP add similar words to their headlines when Hamas killed many children on Oct 7, 2023????

BEIRUT, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Hand-held radios used by Hezbollah detonated on Wednesday across Lebanon’s south and in Beirut’s southern suburbs, a security source and a witness said, further stoking tensions with Israel a day after similar explosions launched via the group’s pagers.
Three people were killed in Lebanon’s Bekaa region, the state news agency reported, and dozens of people were wounded in the latest device blast.
At least one of the blasts took place near a funeral organized by Iran-backed Hezbollah for those killed the previous day when thousands of pagers used by the group exploded across the country and wounded many of the group’s fighters.
The group, which was thrown briefly into disarray by the pager attacks, said on Wednesday it had attacked Israeli artillery positions with rockets, the first strike at its arch-foe since blasts wounded thousands of its members in Lebanon and raised the prospect of a wider Middle East war.
The hand-held radios were purchased by Hezbollah five months ago, around the same time that the pagers were bought, said a security source.
“Lebanon’s state-run news agency...”
Which means they probably got more than they’re reporting.
Cellphones tomorrow!.......................
Shame that. They’ll be afraid to use anything electronic.
The toaster will ding and they’ll shoot their pop tarts.
They should send them some exploding ammo...
You know they’re dissecting them already.
The Israelis are incredibly innovative and effective. It is apparent why with such a relatively small population, they are able to dominate the area. Yet if somehow they fall behind in a critical situation, they get to lose only one time and it is over.
It’s unfortunate that a child died, but it’s hard to conceive of a more directed anti-personnel weapon than a remotely-controlled bomb that only fighters have and wear on their body. There’s always collateral damage but this is far less than would have happened in a drone or bomb attack, not to mention totally indiscriminate weapons like suicide vests or even stray bullets.
Be a good time to do a massive conventional attack while they are in disarray.
The entire C2 structure has collapsed.
Why? I'd guess because it's better to let the rage, panic, and feral insanity of the Hezbolloids speak for itself. It never disappoints.
BTTT
Next they need to use Candygrams.
Hezbollah. Who gives a crap? I think whoever pulled this off is magnificently capable, and they should not be effed with. Take a clue, Hezbollah.
How long before the VooDoo HooDoo declares that she and Tiny Tim are pager owners but she and “the Command Sergeant Major are still going to “ban” them to save the Lebanese and Syrians.
“Look, Abdul, I got a free I Phone from the Mossy Ad company!”
