ABC News debate moderator Linsey Davis made a stunning admission about their attempts to 'fact check' Donald Trump during his debate with Kamala Harris.
Republicans were furious at ABC News moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis for refusing to fact check Harris on her lies about Trump's views on IVF.
In a new interview, Davis says that it was a conscious decision to do the fact checks after seeing how Trump and Joe Biden performed in the CNN debate in June.
'People were concerned that statements were allowed to just hang and not [be] disputed by the candidate Biden, at the time, or the moderators,' Davis said.
Davis even anticipated Trump's comments on abortion and IVF and said it 'was an obvious thing to get on the record'.
She then admitted that they tried but failed to get the candidates on the record every time they claim they told a lie.
The anchor, who hosts a show on ABC News' streaming outlet, admitted social media makes her aware of how tough it is as a black woman covering the first black woman to run as a major presidential candidate to stay unbiased.
'There is a stereotype that I am acutely aware of that I can't be unbiased covering this moment,' she told the LA Times. 'And the anonymous Instagram people serve as reminders every day.'
Muir and Davis repeatedly attempted to fact check Trump during the debate on issues such as the Capitol riot and a claim about migrant crime.
However, Harris incorrectly stated that Trump was against in vitro fertilization during the debate.
The former president stated that he has spoken out in favor of IVF when it has faced bans at the state level.

But her having a conflict of interest being a Kamala sorority sister….no problem.
“That is not the moderators role. If someone wants to dispute what a candidate says, that is up to the opposing candidate in their rebuttal time.”
Really. I look at it as a kind of courtroom trial. Let both sides state their respective cases, and we the jury will decide after doing our own research.

So THAT'S why she proclaimed that no state allows post-birth abortion (despite Walz's Minnesota allowing it) and immediately turned to Kamala to respond to the statement by Trump and her own false denunciation of it!

Which should have disqualified her from moderating from the very start.
They didn’t fact ck Harris.. But everything she said was a lie. They let every one of her lies “hang out there”.

Donald Trump is the name. He agreed to the debate, the network, the moderator, and the rules. He is also responsible for his own performance at the debate.
Trump appointed his advisors and campaign team. He approved the current RNC chair and his daughter in law Laura is heavily involved in the RNC. Trump has gone through two presidential campaigns and spent four years as POTUS. He knew what he was dealing with and made the decision to debate.
In the immortal words of Harry Truman, “The buck stops here.” If Trump can’t take responsibility for the consequences of his decisions he is the wrong person for the job. If he can’t find and appoint good people to work for him, he is the wrong person for the job. Real leaders make decisions in an imperfect world and take ownership of the consequences resulting from those decisions.
One has to understand that any percentage of black ancestry, no matter how small, is enough for a person to claim full blackness....

Donald Trump is 100% correct to say, “no more debates.” The reasons are blatant and clear, they are campaign events for Kammy & WalzingMantilda.
