Former President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris enter the homestretch of the campaign in a tight race, and with their only scheduled debate looming on Tuesday, Ms. Harris faces a sizable share of voters who still say they need to know more about her.
A national poll of likely voters by The New York Times and Siena College found Mr. Trump leading Ms. Harris, 48 percent to 47 percent, within the poll’s three-percentage-point margin of error and largely unchanged from a Times/Siena poll taken in late July just after President Biden dropped his re-election bid. Mr. Trump may have had a rough month following the president’s departure and amid the burst of excitement that Ms. Harris brought Democrats, but the poll suggests his support remains remarkably resilient.

Actually, I meant registered, but it looks like the result is the same with either RV or LV. I might be wrong on this.
So, she has 'sizable share/support" but they need to know more about her? No wonder she has to bus in supporters for her rallys.
Harris isn’t anywhere near Trump. But they will keep it that way for cheating purposes.
im in Detroit..in 2008, all you saw were block after block of Obama/Biden signs. Ive seen ONE Harris sign, and that was at an abandoned school....figures. Also,in Michigan, Trump and his PACS are just hammering her with excellent commercials. Detroit News has Trump plus 1, a huge swing from the last poll.
It must be all those hard hitting interviews and Tireless campaigning from Harris/walz that is making the difference?
I realize one of my big mistakes in life is I is showed up for a job and was mostly honest and upfront.
I expect some voters to be clueless and vote for harris.
But just how many are there who do not stay up on who..

The debate will be heavy on gun control no doubt and the recent shootings will be used to try to justify more gun control laws.

No matter how anyone does in that debate, the media will declare Kamala the winner and the polls will have her way ahead. The polls are already done and ready to deliver.

The Trump campaign has fired on all cylinders this cycle. The ads have been blistering and the President’s messaging on point. Vance has been exceptional as well as bulldog and advocate for conservative ideals.
No matter how anyone does in the election, the media will declare Harris the winner. There.

Neck and neck. They have always claimed this. They will always claim this. At no point will they report anything other than this.
I don’t know the actual state of the race but if this is true the debate would moat likely hurt her. Trump’s debate performance is baked in and there will definitely be those who hear her and say, no thank you. It’s more likely than not that her debate would lose her support (nothing is ever certain though).
