Zelensky Hits Western Allies with Demands for More Weapons, Enhanced Capabilities

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky used a meeting Friday with top United States military leaders and 50 partner nations to call for yet more weaponry even as the Biden administration confirmed it would rush another $250 million in security assistance to Kyiv.

Zelensky added systems that were promised already have been too slow to arrive as he again stated his desire to directly strike at Russia deep behind its borders.

AP reports U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the meeting of the leaders at the U.S. Ramstein Air Base in Germany was taking place during a dynamic moment in Ukraine’s fight against Russia, as it conducts its first offensive operations of the war while facing a significant threat from Russian forces near a key hub in the Donbas.

I’ve seen this movie before.

For perspective, one might view the 1986 film The Money Pit with Tom Hanks and Shelley Long.

It was billed as a comedy.

This is a heist film although it stars a former comedian.

All the Ukraine money and weapons are going to the globalists to be used against freedom.

They’re barely concealing it anymore

Never thought when I got my first job back at 15 that I’d still be at it at this age, let alone that I’d be doing it to provide money to some dude in Ukraine.

“directly strike at Russia deep behind its borders”

This would only deepen support for the war in Russia.

I suspect most Russians do not want for Russia to be at war. That is something Zelenski and his Western backers should not want to change.

A desire to strike deeper into Russia? This clown simply does not have the manpower and material resources to withstand the horror the Russians can give them if he does something that stupid.

Look what they are now getting for their own stupid version of “The Battle Of The Bulge”. They wasted valuable resources in this clown act at the expense of their own defensive positions inside their own country.

Like betting on a losing pony. A track record of failure, and the US still bets on the loser.

Zelensky Hits Western Allies with Demands for More Weapons, Enhanced Capabilities

Its caused by the Biden admin slow dripping approved weapons aid to Ukraine. US congress in April approved $7.8 direct weapons aid. The Biden admin has only used $1.8 billion, to transfer weapons, with $6 billion due to expire unused at the end of September.

Biden administration is rushing to find a way to save billions of dollars slated for Ukraine, soon to expire because of the end of fiscal year in the United States. Out of $7.8 billion allocated for deliveries of weapons and equipment from the Pentagon's stocks under the PDA program, about $6 billion might go down as soon as September 30, so the White House is currently looking for a mechanism allowing it to use those funds before the deadline, sources told Reuters.

There are two options in discussion with the Congress, one being to extend the deadline of the funding program into a Continuing Resolution — a different kind of spending bill for emergency situations; and another is to compile a large-scale security assistance package with as much equipment as possible with the remaining money and sign off on the shipment by the end of this month.

The diplomats and Russian president have spoken about firing more missiles of NATO origin, and any further nuclear power plant terrorism/attacks. Both have warned that should Ukraine attack another nuckear plant, Russia will respond in kind. Should they provide missiles to strike in Russia, Washington was told not to expect the oceans to protect us against similar retaliation. European nations would be targeted if they provide missiles.

The Russians have pointed out that nearly all talk of Red Lines being broken by Zelinski were NATO Red Lines. NATO was warned crossing Russian Red Lines would not just involve retaliation in Europe.

The countries bordering Russia and Belarus providing transit to Ukraine are obvious targets. Britan, France, The Netherlands and Germany high on the Russian warned list.

Currently, this conflict is handled not as a war, but a special operation, which from a diplomatic and legal standing an important distinction. Ukraine of course wants the distinction to be a war involving NATO since Ukraine will be defeated. The SO distinction demands Russians in Ukraine and their culture be respected; a war means Ukraine ceases to exist.

Having spent 8 years working for general officers, and 8 years in the foreign service, I have seen the US and other countries conduct matters of interest contingent upon nuiance, as in the distinction between war or operations.

NATO is logistically challenged having began with a 8 year military build up in Ukraine.

Ukraine has been taken advantage of by the US DOS and partner agencies, NGOs, and American financial entities such as Blackrock... selling outright national assets such as mining, oil, gas, rail, utilities, farms and farmland, dams, etc. All of thus was transferred for 25-75% of market value. As the need for more arms required more assets, the Gov of Uk further secured loans by ceeding legal rights or surrender of assets if defaut on loans. The US was not alone and this asset acquisition system was enjoined by all EUropean Union, NATO countries.

When the conflict broke out Russia wanted limited demands mostly contingent upon equal rights form Russian speakers, although it has become over land beyond Crimea and Donbass. Today it is about land, Bandaras ideals, and Ukraianian ethenic cleansing of non pur Ukrainians.

The problem for Ukraine, and the western governments, is that they are heavily invested in assets primaraly in the areas where the fighting is taking place. This us why Ukraine was not “soverign” to sign any agreements without German, French, British or US approval. Merkel went so far as to say that the initial Istanbul and two Minsk Accords were western deceptions to gain time to arm Ukrainian with the aim to get rid of Putin.

Back to missiles provided by Biden whose own DOJ states he was not prosecuted for mishandling classified materiels, which may trigger either retaliation or war. Bidens own corruption in Ukraine in 2014 has now put America and the world at risk of war. A Biden who cut all diplomatic relations with Russia.

There are no right or wrong countries in a war. There is however no legimate interest to the people in the US, EU, world or even Russia/Ukraine to not hear Russia clearly when they say this is an extrasenial threat. Our political class has never asked Americans if they support Ukraine, or if we are willing some or all os US to die for Ukraine, their Bandaras approved president.

I believe that missile strikes deep or at Killengrad or in Moldovia by Ukraine will result in a Russian response against those responsible.

I don’t think Russia will simply arm Iran, Syria, North Korea or other groups ONLY.

NATO likes having Russia will the only way forward more conflict.

War against Ukraine. Prosecuted with the same tactics and intensity employed in the past by the US or NATO. Would NATO intervein?

Any conflict between NATO and Russia. Russia would initiate such a first strike, for sure. Is it limited to countries bordering Belarus and Russia... or does it involve every NATO Airfield and land based assets?

Russia has few options. Leaving Ukraine is not one. A declaration of war against Ukraine is the one option Russia didn’t want, but has made longterm preparations to execute. Russia has indicated in the past week along with the warnings of matching return fire, that no Russian city or population can remain a part of Ukraine.

It is always darkest before daylight. All sides are entrenched. Diplomacy has failed. Russia does not trust the west. The west openly wants Putin gone.

This is not really between Zelinski and Putin, nor Ukraine and Russia, but it us between Joe Biden’s DNC and Russia, Russia, Russia. Biden is a dying old man who is a puppit and his strings are predictable.

If we do have a limited nuclear conflict of the kind the Biden White House team was kicking around as winnanle a few years back, I hope the DNC realizes they don’t bomb corn fields in war, but cities and those who survive won’t be democrats.

Yes, it is sad, because Putin/Russia will continue to be a threat to our largest trading partner, Europe

U.S. Commander in Europe Says Russia Is a 'Chronic Threat' to World April 10, 2024

Russia poses "a chronic threat" to the world and further aid to Ukraine to repulse the Russian invasion of that country is crucial, said Army Gen. Christopher Cavoli, the commander of U.S. European Command.
