Jon Voight to Newsmax: Soviets Were 'Terrified' of Ronald Reagan

The Soviets were terrified of Ronald Reagan, and rightly so, actor Jon Voight told Newsmax on Monday.

Voight played the role of Russian spy Viktor Petrovich in "Reagan," a biopic about the late president, which came out Friday. He and the film's director, Sean McNamara, spoke to "Carl Higbie FRONTLINE" about the making of the movie and the 40th president's legacy.

Voight said the spies assigned to keep tabs on Reagan "kept giving reports back that this guy was standing up against communism, saying an awful lot of things that were concerning to them.

"And then he became a political force. Gradually, they saw his political talent as well, and they got the reports back in these files that said, 'This man says what he means, and he means what he says,'" Voight said. "So when he started speaking out, they became really frightened, and they were right to be frightened, because in the in the end, he found a way to dissolve the Soviet Union."

The big TV networks and social media have already been caught trying to tank the box office by refusing to show advertisements for the movie

He along with Thatcher and the Pope took the Soviets down without a shot. Probably the greatest political earthquake in my lifetime. There is a reason his statue is in Budapest and other places behind the old iron curtain.

And he knows this how? No more than the rest of us.

Because he is a lifelong conservative, lived through the Reagan era as a young adult, has spoken out against communism for years, and obviously read up on how to best portray his role as a leading Russian spy assigned to study Reagan and his influence. Other than that, everyone's an expert, according to you.

The movie reviews. They won’t be kind. Hollywood hated Reagan.

Verb tenses matter. As the movie shows, at least more than half of Hollywood admired Reagan and supported his efforts to rid the business of its commie sympathies while he was heading up the Screen Actor's Guild, long before he was Governor or President. And yes, I knew that before seeing the movie.

Today's Hollywood may loathe him, but by now the pendulum obviously has swung to China- and Russia-funded communism not just in Hollywood, but in The Swamp.

Reagan has monuments in several former east bloc countries. The one in Warsaw is a great visit. Not far from the Chopin park, the tomb of the unknown soldier, and the Polish underground monument.

Biden’s monuments are flushed down toilets daily. Some float, some don’t.

Recently had a conversation with someone who works at a solar company. Learned that all the solar manufacturing and installation companies in the US are now owned by China. So how is that working for us, exactly>

Don’t forget Lech Waleza (can’t do Polish characters) who was the face of the solidarity movement started in Gdansk. And Helmet Kohl of West Germany. There are statues of Reagan in Warsaw and Berlin too.

Democrats locked down production of the resources to make solar panels. China owns a huge amount of the mineral resources to make them.

But don’t worry. Chairman Mao’s words bring joy.

And the FSB / KPP (Kremlin’s Puppet Putin) are terrified by TRUMP.

Thats why they said this:

Kremlin Says Russia Prefers ‘Predictable’ Kamala Harris as President
https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2024/09/02/kremlin-says-russia-prefers-predictable-kamala-harris-as-president/

And confirmed by Putin months ago already:
‘More predictable’: Vladimir Putin says he prefers Joe Biden to Donald Trump

In their own minds, yep. That tends to be the case.
I simply don’t like people putting stock into what a celebrity says, because they’re a celebrity.

Voight is more than a mere celebrity. He has spoken intelligently for the conservative movement for years, and has the background knowledge to back it up. Your snark was unfounded.
