Am I The Only One – Aaron Lewis
This afternoon Winter’s eyes looked kind of silver or gray. With just a hint of blue. I’m trying to get a picture, but she’s napping and won’t open her eyes.
I do think she’s not the prettiest thing, she has rather a big nose, and the red tabby coloring is so pale, it doesn’t add much. But she is sweet and her eyes are unique.
“I wonder if it’s what I have, rosacea.”
Well a couple of years ago when I saw my doctor she said it could be Lupus or Rosacea. A year later when I brought it up again she had a blood test done for Lupus. It came back negative. No mention of then treating for Rosacea. What do you do for yours? Is your every single day?

He says he has NEVER been anti-vqacation. Says he is fully vacinated except for covid and his children are also. What he has said is vacinations should be FDA tested like medication.
Then rips into the Dems for censorship.

No I don’t. My husband took it one time and it really made him flush.
I don’t take but on Rx pill, then I have the medication for my nebulizer. I have been wondering if the exhaust, or whatever you would call that, is what is causing me to feel real dry and flushed/burning. Because it is a short enhaler mouth piece and the exhaust does come right at my face.

Oh yeah Lupus has that butterfly rash, doesn’t it?
I think rosacea isn’t quite as obvious, more with the veins showing up in red. I just stay out of the sun, use sunscreen, you’re supposed to avoid spicy food and caffeine too, I think.
When I get back from hiking, my face is usually red. But I can’t stay shut up in the house, and how can exercise be a bad thing? Moderation, I guess.

Ah ha, I think you found the culprit - and a potential cause of dry eyes as well. I’ve read in the dry eye groups of people finding/needing a workaround so it doesn’t blow on their face at night.
Speaking of Fascistbook, it’s pretty neat the way people are communicating there to get and give help. A lady in a small mountain town had a neighbor ask for her if anyone could remove a tree from her porch so she could use the door instead of a window. A farmer in NC needed help repairing fences knocked down by trees because he was losing livestock. Someone is getting together a list of people and phone numbers that are willing to cook for those without power or water. It is great to see people getting things done, without waiting for others to help. I wonder how people in Asheville are doing with that.

Last spring I made a silly little, indulgent purchase. I bought a 6’x9’x29” swimming pool. I can inflate an air matress and drink my coke zero, read a book, and treat my body to natural vitamin D.
This week or two, it has been under attack. First, some trees decided to dump lots of leaves in it. It isn’t fall here. They just hate me.
But there was a huge white blobby nest in the corner. I thought it might be a wasp’s nest. The hubs said no it wasn’t. But he didn’t know either. He removed it. Next, we thought it was spiders.
It turned out to be TADPOLES! Not horrible. But not welcome in my swimming pool. I dumped more bleach in the pool. That took care of that.
But today, I looked in the corner, under one of the brackets which holds the bracing and therefore, the pool upright was a nice big spider. Oh, gee. I’ll deal with it tomorrow. I don’t really want to kill it, but I’m open to suggestions to how to get it to move w/o getting too close.
