A 15-year-old was arrested Saturday in connection with a knife attack at a festival in Germany that left three people dead and several others hurt, authorities said.
The suspect had been on the run for hours following Friday’s bloodshed in Solingen.
Authorities could not rule out a “terrorist” motive, noting multiple knives were found, Police Chief Markus Röhrl said.
The attacker specifically targeted victims’ throats and necks, Röhrl added.

A month ago....Interior Minister said things were going to shift....more urban areas to have ‘zones’ established (no weapons and frisks going to occur as necessary).
I’ll just say in my area....for 4 years...there’s been a ‘zone’ and after 7 PM...cops do patrols where frisk is not optional. They probably catch 1 to 2 each month. The key issue with a knife violation...fine goes up into the 5,000 Euro range. But all of these characters are marginal-pay folks, so the fine is likely not to happen.
Last week...some female nutcase (German citizen) had the cops called on her. She made a run, and when the cops cornered her....she was told to drop the kitchen-knife. Failing the order....they shot her dead in a grocery store.
Yep, that tells us his first name wasn’t Dietrich.
It’s terrorism unless proven different.

The identity of the attacker is still unclear.”

In Medieval times, soldiers wore metal collars to deflect attacks to the neck.
Wouldn’t surprise me if a trend began with folks to wear some sort of metal or heavy fabric collar around the neck and under clothing or scarves as personal protection.
