Corporate media outlets recently locked arms to dispel Donald Trump’s assertion that illegal immigration hurts “black jobs,” yet experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the former president is right about the problem being all too real.
Trump said during a Q&A with the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) that “coming from the border are millions and millions of people that happen to be taking black jobs,” according to Politico, with the remarks igniting a bevy of critiques from corporate media outlets, with one going as far to say that “black jobs” don’t exist and others leaning on experts to characterize the assertion as “not true.” However, the reality is that immigration has a depressive effect on wages and employment, with experts pointing out how illegal immigration has disproportionately affected industries and localities where black Americans frequently work.
Immigration has been a driver of black unemployment for “over 200 years,” Andre Barnes, Historically Black Colleges and Universities engagement director at NumbersUSA, told the DCNF.
“During the First World War there was a halt to immigration, and all of a sudden, factories in the North could not get enough people to work, so where did they go for their labor supply? Black Americans.” Barnes told the DCNF. “We had the 1924 Immigration Act, and it reduced immigration from 700,000 to less than 200,000 per year, and the level stayed at less than 200,000 per year for over four years. And what did we see during that time period? You saw an increase in black employment. We saw an increase in black economic power.”

22% of blacks wear a uniform to work. But when the illegals are given a pathway to citizenship - all those jobs are going to be taken by someone who will do it cheaper.
The Post Office Jobs, the bus drivers, the dock workers, the good service jobs will be history.
I saw that incident as a sort of IQ test.
Sure, it’s not hard to be picky about someone’s wording and then pretend to be “offended”. But real human communication happens when you make an effort to understand the other person’s intent.
Trump was clearly saying that he cared about black people. He wanted jobs for everyone. US citizens should be prioritized so that they were not unemployed. This is all good stuff.
“Black jobs???? That’s so racist!!”
That snarkly, little spoiled brats Simone Biles is too stupid to understand this but she ran her pie hole the other day about it.
NABJ is saddened, deeply saddened.
A couple days after PDJT said “black jobs”, some media outlet ran a montage of black journalists and pols saying, “black jobs”. I wish I knew where to find it. (I hope the Trump campaign will find it, or make a new one.) The owner of BET was one of them.
Illegal immigrants from South of the border even hurt the legal population from South of the border.
It’s a no brainer really. They are all “predominantly” in simple laboral and entry level jobs and competing for these positions. This limits job availability (unemployment) and wages (massive supply).
Who do you think is disproportionately affected by the criminal element crossing the border? The very people here in the US told to be outraged and protest about the border! The very people told that trying to deal with the border is “racist.” Real simple question, where do you think the criminal element ends up moving to, a white community with a strong police presence or where everyone knows everyone?
BTW, it’s election year, Telemundo (NBC is their parent) will hit the rev limiter on stories about the border, how Trump is a racist for trying to deal with it...
But for some reason, these people let themselves be stirred up by the same MSM which played the false outrage / racist card regards Trump and illegal immigration and how it hurts blacks. This media has the Spanish speaking population rooting for an open border. The power of the media.
Supply and demand: it’s not just a good idea, it’s the law.
Just another example of Democrats keeping their “workers” on the plantation.
They are intentionally making it racial by claiming Trump means there are jobs only blacks can do.
It matters not one whit to the juvenile left. If Trump says it, it cannot possibly be true.
ahem.people talk about the black unemployment rate all the time - so what moves the number is blacks getting jobs. ahem.
The ABC so called reporters spin was that trump was insinuation that black people hold low and menial jobs that are being taken by the invaders
much like
DEI was used as an insult and racism coming from a white guy and on the other hand used by them as a righteous and deserved avenue for the success of people of color
She has a problem staying in bounds, cost her gold last night.
Dems pretend to be stupid so you have to waste your time explaining stuff to them they already know.
And then fell off the balance beam. Oh well.
saying black jobs and legal hispanic jobs is exactly the same as saying blacks and hispanics are hardest hit, a thing Democrats say ALL the time while usually adding women!
The USA isn’t Europe. Here the Great Replacement is not just about While people.
“with one going as far to say that “black jobs” don’t exist and others leaning on experts to characterize the assertion as ‘not true’.”
I went online and Googled: “BLACK JOBS” -TRUMP
Results show black people saying or writing “black jobs” way back to at LEAST to 2014. I think there’s someone in the Congressional Black Caucus. Also many lib colleges. There’s even a website called www.blackjobs.com.
I “minused out” TRUMP to exclude what happened when he spoke to the journalist panel last week. Wanted stuff prior to that.
I’m surprised they haven’t been scrubbed already.
Why would the invaders work when they live for free in sanctuary cities courtesy of the stupid gringo.
So...,
Black colleges
