On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Lead,” Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) stated that she would handle the coronavirus pandemic differently if she knew then what she knows now, but “We did not know it was respiratory in nature. We didn’t know that it would be people on the other end of the age spectrum who would be most vulnerable. And so, I think that the education stuff, we would’ve been able to do a lot more to help our kids.” But overall, “I’m proud of what we did, and I can tell you, the people of Michigan, I think, by and large, we got through this as well as we could and we’re seeing our economy growing and there’s a lot of good stuff going on, but it was a tough time.”

Remember when her husband urged a business to get his boat in the water in time for Memorial Day weekend, while she was publicly telling cooped-up residents to resist flocking to popular vacation areas during the coronavirus pandemic?

I guess that’s why all recreation in Michigan was shut down while her husband called the marina to have his boat ready to go.
And she seemed to believe covid was only transmissible at mom and pop retailers not big chain stores.
And covid was so dangerous that it also transmitted at the gas pumps.

EVERYONE KNEW IT WAS RESPIRATORY IN NATURE! Hence the distancing and mask rules.
Not knowing that it would affect the hold more than the young is slightly plausible considering how most cold & flu viruses tend to affect the young more because they haven’t built up an immunity to them yet, but it’s still a terrible assumption to try to stand on, because many infections affect the young more, which is why children get vaccinated a lot more from everything from measles and mumps to meningitis. All that being the case, there were doctors and reasearchers saying within the first few months that the THIS VIRUS was affecting the elderly and sick much much more than children.
A year and a half later, they were pushing the “vaccine” on kids.
There were SOME experts early on who suggested the elderly and vulnerable who should have been protected or isolated and everyone else should have weathered natural immunity.
