“CBS Evening News” host and managing editor Norah O’Donnell will leave the anchor desk following the 2024 election and transition to a senior correspondent role within the company, the network announced Tuesday.
O’Donnell, who recently marked five years behind the anchor desk for the evening news show, said it was time for a change after 12 years as an anchor for CBS News.
“I have spent 12 years in the anchor chair here at CBS News, connected to a daily broadcast and the rigors of a relentless news cycle. It’s time to do something different. This presidential election will be my seventh as a journalist, and for many of us in this business we tend to look at our careers in terms of these milestone events,” she wrote in a statement Tuesday.

It was tough reading a teleprompter for 12 years I guess. Not having to do anything else but read what they gave her.
Oh, that must mean that CBS somehow found even more of a leftist piece of crap for the job. Hard to believe anyone could be anymore of a dumb asswipe then her though.
I think this is the perfect opportunity for her to demonstrate her skills at being a front-line combat photojournalist. Smack Dab in he middle of Gaza, et al.
Shoot, she can even ‘embed’ with our troops in those foreign countries where Biden says we don’t have any more warfighters... And, if she can’t find any NATO or American troops to embed with, she can try Hamas or Hezbollah....she’s there in spirit with them, anyway.
The world, especially Democrats, is so completely crazy these days, the end sarcasm symbol should always be used when applicable.

I’m in my 70s and I remember O’Donnell from my teenage years doing the news. Can’t remember what station, but, she was my hero growing up.
Norah O’Donnell was born in 1974, long after you were teenager.
Her face never changes. She’d make a good poker player.

She was in a retirement home, and I refused to take her Absentee Ballot to her. I let one of the commies from the League Of Women Voters do it.
