The US Secret Service is adjusting how it approves security plans and bolstering security measures for protectees in the wake of the assassination attempt against Donald Trump earlier this month, according to excerpts of congressional testimony Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe will deliver Tuesday.
Rowe, who visited the site of the shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania, earlier this month, will tell senators from the Homeland Security and Judiciary committees: “What I saw made me ashamed. As a career law enforcement officer, and a twenty-five-year veteran with the Secret Service, I cannot defend why that roof was not better secured.”
According to the prepared remarks, Rowe has directed the Secret Service to have multiple experienced supervisors go through each security plan for all future protected sites and events.
Rowe visited the scene of the assassination attempt as one of his first actions as acting director “to better understand how our protection failed,” he will testify.
“I inspected the site and the AGR building. I went to the roof of the AGR building where the assailant fired shots and laid in a prone position to evaluate his line of sight,” he will say.
Rowe, who took charge of the Secret Service after Director Kimberly Cheatle’s resignation, is also set to give more details to lawmakers on the security failures that led to the assassination attempt at Trump’s July 13 rally.

They are probably trying to sort through the mess at different levels, not knowing who to ditch or what to change. After whats her face resigned, most likely there’s been some reassignments and “temp” roles filled all the while trying to operate in an election year.
It’s a bureaucracy. Today should be filled with lengthy statements about how we can never let that happen again, etc, etc, etc.

What occurred was intentional ignoring of the reported threat, which many people around the rally saw developing. The secret service wanted the gunman to complete his intended assassination, and then they would face all the questions and investigations. Meanwhile, the gunman would have accomplished the mission to get rid of Trump, which democrats sought to do for 8 years. Getting rid of Trump was the intent of the DOJ/FBI/Secret Service, and Biden/Harris and most democrat leaders. Unfortunately for all them, Trump survived the assassination attempt, and they all have to go back to square one.

Rowe is in on the whole plot and cover up.
MSM has successfully kept the focus off the real story. Incompetence and staffing issues are diversion. For over half an hour they had eyes on a guy on a roof with a rifle.

I wonder if there is any serious consideration being given to the possibility that the failures were deliberate? Given the revelations about what motivated the Russia hoax, it needs to be admitted and examined.

The Director and the on-site supervisor should’ve been fired by noon the next day because it was so obvious that there had been a monumental failure. Director Whatshername did resign, but only after a disgusting appearance before Congress where she didn’t seem to know ANYTHING.
I’ve tried to follow this whole situation as much as possible, but I can’t possibly know every detail.
Were the bullets that hit PDJT, Comperatore, and the other two ever retrieved?
Crooks was on the roof?
SS was in a room directly below Crooks?
Have the bullets been matched to Crooks’ gun?
Have they been matched to the guys’ guns in the room below?
Who actually shot PDJT?
Who actually killed Comperatore?

There is no way they just happened to have so many “lapses” on the same day an assassin just happens to show up.
With the exception of 8 or 10, republican leaders have been exceptionally silent as well.
Dan Bongino knows Rowe personally and said he’s just as bad as Cheatle.
