Coasties At Work!

A U.S. Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew lowers a hoisting cable to crew members on the flight deck of USCGC Alex Haley (WMEC 39) while underway in the Bering Sea. How’s your rain coming along? Getting enough yet? We finally, over a long week, got a bit over 3”.

More would be nice, but I am grateful for this much.

1.4 inches for the entire month...need another half inch to break my previous “record driest” July set way back in 2002.

In spite of it all my zucchini are blossoming and forming finger sized squash.

Yes, it was cooler today and more cool temps are coming, a great relief!

How's things with you and the kittehs?

LOL! The grass is growing double speed. It drizzled all afternoon with a heavier shower just as we were closing things up at the “R” women’s tent. We’ve had rain, in different amounts, every day for the past week and have another week of the same ahead. We needed it but a dry day here and there wouldn’t hurt.

The sun is blazing up there right now. I see some clouds over by the mountains but nary a cloud over the airports.
