A Canadian man attempted a terror stabbing on Monday morning at the entrance to Netiv Ha’asara, a moshav in southern Israel close to the Gaza border, the Israel Defense Forces said, adding that the assailant was shot and killed.
The IDF confirmed that the assailant was a Canadian citizen, adding, “We emphasize that the suspect is a foreign citizen who arrived at the scene from Israel and not from the Gaza Strip.”
The Kan public broadcaster reported that the man, identified as Qawarshi Zakaria Adam, carried a Canadian passport and that he shouted “Free Palestine!” as he conducted the attack.
According to reports, the suspect entered Israel on Sunday on a tourist visa.
According to the military, the suspect arrived at the entrance to the Gaza border community by car, got out, and threatened security forces with a knife. The guards shot and killed him.
“He was shouting, ‘You’re murdering people in Gaza!’ and we neutralized him,” said a member of the moshav’s civilian security squad, according to the Walla news site.
Magen David Adom reported that a 61-year-old woman was affected by severe anxiety in the wake of the attack, but no one was physically wounded.
He was upset that no maple sugar is produced in Gaza?
Clearly someone who has no idea how to interact with the IDF.
Amen.
One would think....
Canadian citizen...
Qawarshi Zakaria Adam
Anything to besmirch the West...
They move here, and then do things in the name of Canada.
Or so it would seem.
Indeed he didn’t preface his attempt to kill with an I’m sorry I must kill you.
Trudeau: “This is an ootrage! A blatant act of Islamaphobia and Kanukaphobia! He didn’t even get to try oot his new purchase. Why should Canadians visit Israel if they’re shot dead before they can even stab anyone! Ootrageous.”
