The New York Times (NYT) editorial board wants Vice President Kamala Harris off the 2024 ticket because of “profound concerns” about her electability.
The push to dump the nation’s first black vice president was posted just after President Joe Biden announced he would not run in the 2024 election — and it could threaten Democratic turnout in November.
The board first provided some throat-clearing praise for Biden:
By agreeing to step down when his term ends in January, he is greatly increasing the chance that his party is able to protect the nation from the dangers of returning Donald Trump to the presidency.
Then it dropped the hammer:
Choosing Ms. Harris would be a reasonable path for Democrats to take; she has been Mr. Biden’s running mate, and while no votes were cast for her as a presidential candidate in primaries, the president’s voters expected her to be on the ticket in November.

Obviously they’re all racists
interesting turn of events. How dare they deny the first black woman POTUS. it is going to hit the fan
It would be interesting to see their editorial when Biden selected her as his running mate.
Lot’s of black men won’t vote for a black woman.
They are Democrats so of course they are!!!!!!!.......
That’s right.
They describe the Democrat party as being a “disparate coalition”.
Here I thought they were diverse.
When the NYT wants you out, that is tantamount to the kiss of death.
Bye kamala. Wish I could say it was nice knowing you.
But, but . . . she’s black and female. That makes her a black female. Also the sitting VP.
NY Slimes is obviously racist and misogynist.
Per Rush, since the media made Biden/Harris, the media can destroy them.
That fast?
I thought the consensus was to let her take the loss to preserve everyone else’s viability for 2028?
What’s changed?
Hey, Kammy - about that “unburdened by the past” thingy? Your party would like to be.
And sexists. Not very DEI of them, is it?

The DNC chair promises a “transparent and orderly process” to select a new nominee after Biden drops his 2024 bid.
“Lot’s of black men won’t vote for a black woman.”
Given a choice a lot of black men seem to prefer white women. Not sure those black men would be happy to select a “black” woman as president.
They want a viable candidate........
I wonder whether she can survive the Secret Service gauntlet.
OK now, that's funny right there.
