Several major questions have emerged for the US Secret Service to answer in the aftermath of the shooting of Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania.
The FBI has taken on the role of lead investigator into the incident, during which one person was killed and two others critically injured - while Trump was wounded in the ear.
As the US demands answers, the Secret Service says it is working to discover "what happened, how it happened, and how we can prevent an incident like this from ever taking place again".
Its chief, Kimberly Cheatle, has been summoned to testify before a committee of the US House of Representatives on 22 July.

The silence on this question is deafening!
Security must answer why the cops didn’t issue an actionable alert and the SS agents did not shield Trump. Surely these guys have radios! Maybe only cell phones now, and the lines were busy?
Those are the wrong questions.
Walk the procedural manual and mark down every fail point on the checklist and determine who was in on the assassination plot.
The simple fact that not one person has been disciplined, fired or brought up on crimes tells me everything that I need to know.
local police officer...he? she?...never mind...From one article...said one officer was being boosted by another...say it isn’t so...the ladder was right there.
I’d like to know how the dead perp was able to be on that rooftop in the first place.
A middle schooler could see that it would be a great place to try to hit the someone at the podium.

I’ve been to Trump rallies and snipers are everywhere, including in the hills surrounding.
Security is actually visible for miles before you even get to a rally venue.
I felt safe, as well, unconcerned for The President’s safety

The building 20 feet behind the dead dude is actually one story higher and begs the question “Why wasn’t a team on top of those buildings?” We know the answer.
Moreover, there is a 90 foot water directly to the east and overlooking all the buildings where dead was and he would have been easily seen if a team was on that water tower.

No one on building to secure it.
No one overlooking to secure it.
So… a guy just decides to show up at a rally and take a potshot at PDJT… and he looks around for a spot that wasn’t covered by USSS and… well whadaya know! He’s in luck. A handy barn roof with no-one on it. And his rifle happens to be sighted in for the distance to the stage.
Now, let’s just see if he can get up there with a rifle without being spotted. Well whaddaya know! Another lucky break! Wait… he was spotted and pointed out to security, Well whaddaya know! Three times lucky! Security blew it off.
Oops. His luck ran out. He was shot deader’n a doornail. Tsk, tsk. Too bad. Can’t question him now.

Some secret agents were moles and a part of the plot.
Any investigation that focuses on anything else just becomes part of the cover story that protects the guilty.

Every factory since the year 2000 has barriers to unrestricted roof access. Seriously. There is no commercial use building I know of that makes rooftops accessible without special locks opened, permits filed, and safety partner required. External stair cages have retracted drops.
The shooter probably had help.
They left out the most important question:
“Why, after the SS was made aware of a potential threat, did they not immediately take President Trump to a place of safety”.
Worst case, he could have resumed his speech after a few minutes if it was a false alarm.
They had ONE job to do - protect the President. And they failed.
The Pennsylvania State Police are the real deal though. Real serious professionals. At least in the last century.
Most SS agents are good folks and were trying to do a good job.
We are not getting coherent answers from their management, however. The longer there are no answers, the more it looks like a coverup, or intentional security lapse.

Look at the video ... multiple people in the crowd could see the assassin on roof, and pointed that out to police
Police did nothing
There were several moles in the Secret Service on site in the command and control area.
Most of the agents did not know anything about the plot.
Exposing the moles is what we need and what we want.
Everything else is a waste of time.
But for the grace of God, we could have had a dead President!

Do your damned job!
We can’t have the Secret Service acting like assembly line workers at Boeing!
