This is one of the first questions that needs to be asked by Congressional hearing.
alpha error - don’t shoot someone you should
beta error - shoot someone you should not.
If that is the case that is not a PROTECTION detail.
Maybe Shapiro is talking about MILITARY rules of engagement, but I very, very seriously doubt that those are the protocols for a PROTECTIVE detail.
I always thought when it came to protecting the nation’s leaders AND ex-presidents, SS sees a gun and takes the person out BEFORE they have a chance to use it.

Anyway, the real comparison would be between Obama’s security and Trump’s or George W. Ex-presidents. Do Obama and Bush W have short fat chicks as SS agents? Do they have SS people or cops on every roof when there’s only a half a dozen roofs to cover? Do they check every building one last time for things like ladders going to a roof?
I find that hard to believe. In Texas, (and, I'm sure in other states) if Joe Citizen sees a shooter pointing a gun at an unarmed individual, he can take him out on the spot. Certainly the SS has more leeway than the average citizen.
Same result in Banghazi and Clinton/Obama never paid for the lives they intentionally lost.
A congressional hearing is the sure megadeath of any accountability. It allows congresscritters to grandstand for re-election without having to do anything.

ANYBODY on a roof with a rifle aimed at the President is a bad guy ... period ... it would be utterly insane if the ROE for the SS is to wait until their charge is killed before they can take action ... total bullshit ...
